- Karachi is a city of many cultures, and the Bengali community is one of its most vibrant. In neighborhoods known as ‘Mini-Bangladesh,’ you’ll find a taste of their rich culture-traditional foods, bustling markets, and lively celebrations.
But times are changing. Younger Bengalis are drifting from their roots, losing touch with their language and traditions. At the same time, many struggle with a bigger issue: the lack of official identity cards, which limits their access to education, jobs, and basic rights.
How does this community keep its heritage alive while facing modern challenges? Shayan Saleem explores their story in his latest report.
