this is what Steps is all about.. singing LIVE as if they are recording in a studio... no flaws at all..always perfection in those beautiful voices and blending just perfectly.. Steps is really back..chilling to hear them again and again..
I'm reminded of the few (perhaps a dozen at most) books I've read in my life which start out very good, and get better with each chapter, each pulling me with great anticipation to the next. I seriously wish the STEPS story many more chapters.
I'm glad STEPS are embracing the Swedish Melodifestivalen (Swedish Eurovision) there's another Melodifestivalen cover on the new album which is by Alcazar's Lina Hedlund, which was only Melodifestivalen 2019, called Victorious, they could easily do a Melodifestivalen covers album as that Schlager sound is still very popular, and ABBA aren't the only Swedish act to sound like that,its a genre all on its own, ABBA were just the only ones to make it big worldwide.

Swedish schlager is the reason why I became a fan of the Eurovision Song Contest and Melodifestivalen 18 years ago, and here I am still. 😁 Sophie Ellis-Bextor covered Alcazar's «Crying At The Discotheque», which makes me think Brits are beginning to discover such a wonderful side from the Swedish scene and I'm loving it! loving the totally live vocals, the upper body movements, whilst not full on, are still quite complex & have little subtle & detailed nuances in there, especially with the constant changing hand positions, which are all kept in sync perfectly with all the group members & they have to also sing live at the same time, great job! 🤗

So is Claire and Fayes microphone turned up louder than Lisa's, h and Lee's. In the chorus when the camera pans across from different members it kinda looks like Lisa, Lee and h are lip synching in parts?! Does anyone else notice this
That's because the other 3 do the harmonies on chorus, not everyone's volume should be on the same level. But I'm sure there's playback for background vocals too...

Almost :-) It's actually composed by another Eurovision song contest winning composer, Thomas G:son, together with a couple of other Swedish composers. Thomas G:son is also one of the composers behind Euphoria (ESC 2012), Invincible (Carola, ESC 2006) and quite a few other Melodifestivalen and Eurovision songs.
Definitely can hear the guys on harmonies, especially the middle 8 before the key change. The mic levels are adjusted so that when they are singing backing harmonies its turned down so as not to over shadow the lead singer on a line
How many times they gonna do a failed come back. "We need some money what could we do.............i know let's do a come back even though we can't sing or dance" Come on the 90s dancing is so outdated. That's not dancing that's just moving your arms around and taking the odd step back and forward.
I liked it and think steps work well together and not solo. IMO glad they are back releasing some great tunes. However, your opinion matters about as much as mine.
Where is the "failure" ? They've gone away & done other successful projects. With over 22 hits & sell-out tours, they don't need the money. They just love to sing & perform. And they've re-formed because the fans love them. Since then, they've had two #1 albums & two sell-out Arena tours. They all sing LIVE - no auto-tune needed (unlike many current singers). Fans expect some sort of choreography rather than a 2hr concert of them just standing at microphones. You can't dance around if you're singing live - remember, they're in their late 40s now. And look - don't we all just need some good happy pop in these dark days?
