PSA, when you're done with those sand sponges, don't throw them away, cut them in half to expose the core, then, you can use them to polish things with polish paste (OR cutting diamond paste), they are very good for that, much better than what they give you with kits and stuff like that. I suppose it's because of the fact that they are meant to support the sanding medium evenly.
Nitto RC cars is why I love cars now, I remember playing with one of these when I was a young kid, it’s sad to see people losing interest of these type of rc cars
as much as they are awesome the main reason for nitro engines going out of fashion is that with brushless motor technology these days they out preform the nitro engine by a lot and can be a lot more quiet and compact not to mention the price of nitro fuel these days as well
@@ethancoy9237 yea in all honesty I would totally love to have one of these since I love engines. The big down side is the cost of the fuel and the car itself. They are very expensive.

Hey Johnny, I absolutely love your videos and have been watching for a bit more than two years now. I've always wondered if you could add subtitles like PrimitiveTechnology does. He describes what he is doing in the subtitles because he also makes non-verbal videos. I think this could help viewers understand what you are doing while keeping the screen clear and your voice a mystery ;)
I see a 2 speed automatic gearbox however i could not hear the car shift into 2nd. Is that bc. the huge engine makes it upshift immediately with plenty of wheelspin or are you just with too little space for it to go or is ist stuck in one of the gears? I have a very similar car with drift tires because it is so worn that it would not drive straight on normal tires. Greetings from germany!
The 2-speed has a tiny screw that can be adjusted, he probably didn't adjust it yet for the video. The tighter the screw, the higher the RPM required to shift. Once you find the sweet spot, usually never have to mess with it again.
That fancy paint they supposedly drys to a perfect mirror finish, it that a real thing or just internet BS? Just asking bc the thumbnail looked like that stuff.
There are paints that look almost like chrome For example I bought a pen of Molotow Liquid Chrome and it felt like magic painting with it. The problem is if you touch it too hard it will become dull but it was a lot more durable than I expected. Apparently there are clear coats that work with it but I haven't tried.
Had an ooops at the end? Nice work though. You should check out rovan or hpi for 1/5 scale off road. 2 cycle gas engines for power and built for abuse. That's just my 2 cents. 😎😎🤔🤔🤔
Life hack, use the left hand stickers on the inside right hand side and vise versa before paint. They will show through the clear shell and wont be prone to peeling of or superficial damage. (And obviously this only goes for decals that are symmetric to the left and right side that dont have writing, like headlights and taillights.)
I just watched a video from Engineering Explained on how lean A/F ratio does not make the engine burn hotter... Now, I don't know if the same logic applies to a 2-stroke, glowplug ignited, methanol engine so someone will have to correct me on that.
It's not too lean or too rich. The problem sounds like the 2-Speed transmission is not shifting into 2nd gear. Needs to loosen the 2-speed screw a bit. The engine is tuned perfectly fine.
@@BrokenLifeCycle On 2 stroke R/C engine, leaner makes engine temps hotter. The R/C fuel also contains oil, which also helps cool the engine. Richer will make it run a bit cooler.
You should add a backing colour to the paint it makes it stand out more. White or black is the norm. Black makes it more rich and saturated while white makes it brighter.
Nice machining and everything but you need to understand that 2 stroke engines need a tuned exhaust pipe to operate at it's best. The angles and lengths of the pipe make a difference. Meaning that a different engine needs a different pipe.
