6:04 this. Is. It. The moment mewtwo came to the rescue and fused Harry Goodman with his pikachu. “You’ve done well. Humanity is evil. But you have shown me that not all humans are bad. Harry Goodman, your pikachu offers its body to save your mind. There is a son. With the son’s return, I can repair the father. Your memory will be gone, but your heart will know who you are. I take this body so you may live. Return with the son!”
Also the scene parallels are pretty spot on I enjoyed the homage with alot of similar dialogue and everything even if the approach to the story is different
@@wikiuser92Yeah, for sure. I think the movie makers actually got their ideas from the sequels story plan. The 3DS games had a lot of hints for this reveal, it was my theory that this is what happened to Harry after I played the first game, before the movie revealed it.
I find it interesting how the whole ‘interrogation’ bit at the end of each chapter doesn’t always involve condemning someone this time! For example, the interrogation here is for the purpose of helping Detective Pikachu as opposed to exposing him!
I’m going to be honest, I saw this coming since the 1st game, not the movie, but the entire time that I was watching and playing through all of the first game, my intuition kept telling me that for some crazy reason, that in some possible way, that it was a possibility that Harry was still alive somehow, even if it wasn’t explicitly confirmed at first, and my gut was telling me since the first game that Pikachu was Harry or the other way around or that Harry was still with his son somehow but for me, it was when Pikachu started regaining his memories close to the end of the game, and apparently like a lot of people, including myself, my intuition was spot on, and I saw this scene earlier today and I almost thought I was going to cry, because I was not only happy that we finally got that reveal in this 2nd game, but I also felt overjoyed for Tim, because he had been searching for his for such a long time, and he was with him helping him out on cases this entire time! I love this reveal so much! There’s also a couple of moments in this reveal scene that I find very weird, also very awesome, but weird but in a very good way!🥰🥰🥰🥰
In the first game I didn’t think Pikachu was actually Harry but it wasn’t until recently when I beat Detective Pikachu returns when I realized that Pikachu was actually Harry. I figured it out way before it was revealed in the game. Oh I had tears in my eyes when this was revealed. I really enjoyed this game and I’ll play it again too.
Not exactly reincarnation. Harry Pikachu as his partner want to save Harry from dying in car crash. So Mewtwo transfer Harry mind into his partner in order to save him temporary. While Pikachu will remain sleep alongside Harry
It's the other way around, this was already planned when they released the first game. The movie just took the idea for the sequel and used it. There were hints in the first game that this us what happened to Harry and that was before the movie csme out.
Like the movie but I'm more surprised about the divorce theme that they talked in some scenes (but if I can find it in a Lego game maybe we will find it in a Mario one, mah)

Now don't go saying, "they took this directly from the movie!", because I think a lot of people had this theory before it released.
true before the movie there were theory about that since the coffee scene.
Yeah! I had the theorey, too xD
I always figured the people making the movie found the fan theory while doing their research and liked it
Also the scene parallels are pretty spot on

Even the location of the crash is similar to
I’m so glad that they went with the film version of Harry past
Yeah no kidding makes sense. Does anyone know Lycanroc is in the game because I know that rockruff is in the game. I am just curious that's all.
I'm pretty sure the story was already decided by the time of the first game, i.e. before the movie.
What other twist do you suppose they could’ve come up with?

The ruins arc didn’t condemn anyone either.
@@pilot_aki That too!
If i had to choose between the physical fusion of the movie vs the this game's mental fusion, i lean towards the latter more.
Underrated game wish it sold better
Wow. Who would have seen this coming except everyone who watched the detective pikachu movie?
It's not exactly the same. It's only a mind fusion, not a physical fusion.
Try anyone who played the first game
@@danielallen4450 Yeah, and by watching the 1st game's intro, we know what comes next.

I’m surprised Tim didn’t freak out about this…
We really need a twitch playthrough of this game with Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith, and/or Kathryn Newton

So it's basically Reincarnated as a Pikachu.
Not exactly reincarnation. Harry Pikachu as his partner want to save Harry from dying in car crash. So Mewtwo transfer Harry mind into his partner in order to save him temporary. While Pikachu will remain sleep alongside Harry
While it makes sense, the people could’ve made a different but similar reason instead of taking some reference from the movie.

I actually like this better than the movie
Harry/Pikachu is Vader/Anakin and Tim is Luke from Star Wars.
Except for the evil part
@@jamesdanke5588 So iconic...
Tim, I am your Pokémon father
@@kayleetheshinysylveon9957 No way...!
First time that the "A and B are the same person!!" theory is true😮
This was so confusing for me, but I think now I understand all
So the movie spoils the whole thing before the game
Not exactly. Just their minds fused, while the movie featured a physical fusion.
@wikiuser92 Very different, I swear.
@@squiddu It's not a big difference, but a difference nonetheless.

I knew it all along since the movie.
Great game
Not much of a secret if we all knew the movie
