- This is part 2 an example problem for approximate analysis of a statically indeterminate frame with gravity loads. The approximation is based on estimating the inflection points in the girders of the frame.
Part 1: Estimating the location of inflection points, detailed analysis of a girder. Drawing approximate shear and moment diagrams of the girder.
Part 2: Quick analysis of girder and shear and moment diagram. Determining the support reactions of the frame, approximately.
This guy is the best and has a better explanation more than 6 hours lectures in the class
Have been struggling with my requirements for days until I found this. Thank you! You are a life saver!
+lavieenrose you are very welcome!
When you are so bored and the man who made this video just wowed you out. Teaching this kind of stuff with enthusiasm lol hahaha! Very rare...

Your videos are of great help to me...u have actually simplified structural analysis for me...thanku so much
Extremely helpful. Thank you for that. It would be very helpful if you have added the lateral loads (wind loads for instance) in the calculation. Looking forward to that.
your videos are all great and can be easily understand
almost goated....
Your videos are great Sir.
Can you please solve any frame example with both hinge (Pinned) supports.
It would be great.
Very good video. The forces at point B, however, appear incorrect. The bending moment in the column below joint B is surely the applied beam bending moment minus the column moment from above (i.e. 45-22.5 = 22.5 kNm instead of 67.5kNm as stated)?
Dude, thank you so much for the videos. Been waiting for these for a long time. Also, can you do some videos for the force method? And if you can please (please) make a series for concrete or steel design. Would love to support you through patron (if you have one) or through any means i can donate my money for your big helps!
thank you. i hope you will subscribe, like, and share my channel with your friends. hopefully statics and concrete in the fall. still focusing on mechanics and dynamics
hope you make frame analysis by mdm...
Dear Sir Your videos are best of the best....you made my conceptions clear....thanks a lot.... Now I need some lecture on stiffness method including stiffness factor modification /derive by using conjugate beam method ....if possible pls provide...
and that's it for structural analysis :( i love your videos!
How do you come up with the points of inflection? How can determine that the inflection was .21L and then use .1L, so mainly how did you solve for .21L to be you max range of inflection? Code?
My friend I really appreciate what you do it's been really helpful.
If i'm not mistaking, i don't see anything from chapter nine. if is it possible, can you post a video of how to draw the shear and moment curves of beams.
Thank You.
@structurefree can you please upload a video or suggest me some book on how to draw SFD, BMD for columns for this problem? I have been struggling with this a lot. Thanks in advance. love ur videos.
1. Is this approximate method accepted in the real world design setting?
2. What about if we have lateral loads at joints due to wind or earthquake, how do we solve it?
thank you . very well explained
can you make an example with vertical and horizontal loads at the same time?
How to draw sfd and bmd for columns? Please help... love ur videos.
just like a beam...pick a beginning (bottom) and end (top) for the member and go.
@@structurefree can you please upload a video on how to draw SFD, BMD for column for this problem? I have been struggling with this a lot. Thanks in advance.
how i wish all my instructors in college explained it this way.
plzz also solve one ques by marix metod
Sir is it possible that I can message you through facebook or gmail for my questions?
you're god.
so we calculated that SR=6, yet we put 4 hinges in not 6?
