It definitely works better for me than the NS2 and even though you gotta know how to dial it properly, it has a wider range compared to the others so if you have too much noise I’d probably go with this one.
@@beersingha161 I wish I had an objective reply but I'm still trying to figure it out, right now I'm using the Boss NS-2 but I haven't sold the other ones.
The silencer is actually not that tricky to set up, first you've got to crank the reduction with the threshold on 0, you adjust your threshold until rig is silent and, finally, you dial back reduction until rig is noisy again and add the bit that's missing. That's a lot of words but it actually takes 30 seconds (if it's your first Time)
Bro you’re not using them correctly. You need to put the noisy pedals in the loops of those noise suppressors to wrap the gate around them… that’s how they work.
Silencer makesbit for me. However, I might pull the trigger on a TcE's Sentry.
Nice video! Just ordered the MXR.
Thanks!
....and what are your impressions of the mkr noise clamp pedal?
@@AlanKaruzo it was faulty, so returned it.
@@FanBoyAshish ok. thanx! it seems that this pedal is only good for weaker distortions and for the noise of single pickups... this is my experience...
Opinions on the silencer? I see you have to select a very specific thresh spot in order for it to work

ISP Decimator G-String ii is another great option
Why are you not adjusting decay on NS-2 ... if not you are comparing Apples and oranges...also where is clean test to check for attack latency?😐😉
Silencer and boss are good
The Silencer is tricky do dial in but yeah it works good.
@@santiagomoreno696so which one it's better do you think ?

@@santiagomoreno696 same as me , i use boss and flamma noise gate together i use noise 2 next i'll get to isp 2 or silencer.

From 3:48 I'm using the distortion in the loops.
Silencer!
