- Sorry for bad quality, I only had the old camera with me on this trip
This siren was installed ~1960 or so, I believe. It was in rough shape cosmetically, but got a new coat of paint in 2019. Recently I found out they do a noon sounding on Saturdays, so I went out to see if I could record it.

[Siren and water tower models were designed and rendered in Blender 4.1. Audio copied and edited from my own recording in Oak Park, Illinois. Westernville is a fictional town]
God you had me think if this was real😂
Looks great! Although the horn needs to be longer if you want to add more accuracy to the model
Interesting! The blower cover is vented which is indicative of a 4M but it has that distinct pulsating 6M sound. Going off of that and the description, I would estimate that this was first installed in 1958
Fourteen? Probably fifteen years of enjoying sirens and just today I'm learning those vents on blowers weren't always there. I'll be sure to keep that in mind going forward. Thanks for the info!
Nice!
I THOUHT THIS WAS REAL OMGGG
I was abt to say this looks like its from roblox lmao
It would have been too obvious if I rendered this in HD lmao. What do you think I can improve here, at a glance?
People say the exact same thing about my St. Paul 1003 recordings.
is it real or is it roblox?
As cited in the description, this is all modeled and rendered in Blender 4.1
