    So, what do you think of the NEW KAOSS Rewind?

    This is a great video. Not a lot of people have walked through both of these devices in such detail.

    There is a Mic-in on the front of the Kaoss Pad ✌️😊

    • @VJFranzK
      @VJFranzK  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's true! But, that Mic input is low quality - it's noisy. I have often found better results using another voice machine with a better preamp first in the chain, as we are doing here.

    Any issues you’ve found, phasing (doubling) loops & mic volume, like this?
    Mic goes to-vocal fx- to RC505 ➡️ KP3 ➡️ RC505. (1) Is that right?
    KP3+ is going RCA out ➡️to stereo input on the RC505, (2) right?
    So … do you turn down the “instrument” level knob, on RC505, when you want to hear none of the KP3?
    RC505 is going into KP3,
    Andddd same vice-versa?
    Any loops “bounced down” into RC505 are gonna play through the KP3 as well, no? and then again through the 505..?
    Orrrr - do you ONLY have mic signal going into the KP3? Not the RC505 master out?
    Super curious! Love the bouncedown idea.
    Ive analysed the cables, but cant be sure.
    😁

    • @VJFranzK
      @VJFranzK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it's only one way, KP3 to 505. If it went both ways, there would be feedback noise! (KP3 is inherently noisier.)

    Thanks a lot . your .video give me. A lot of idéa 💡 for my setup…. :-) the bounce fonction is an advantage of the kaos… and its interesting to use together (sorry for my bad English ) je suis français

    Hey man, been watching a bunch of your videos, mainly on the Kaos and Kaossilator to decide the difference. What would be the best investment to enhance my workflow with my Pocket Operator Tonic (Drum Machine) and KO-33 (Sampler/Sequencer) what would you suggest to add to my arsenal? I need a mixer for sure. I want to use a tablet with a powerful mobile app like G-Stomp Studio. Thanks for the videos! I have already learned so much about Lo-Fi Production!

    • @VJFranzK
      @VJFranzK  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the Mixer is a major gateway between low-fi and hi-fi! ; - ) choose carefully a mixer that fits your size requirements (could be Roland Go-Mixer or similar if u want to stay hyper small. See my Berhringer battery mixer review, btw And TASCAM 12 review, in the editing room now... Also note Blue Box by 1010, which I haven't been able to try yet)

      @@VJFranzK i found a used roland tr08 and a bunch of Tacam stuff. I will check out the go mixer. What's the best usb/aux hub for splitting devices? They are 10 bucks but sound quality differs. Prefer poly to mono for multi channel routing. Lol @ gateway between lofi and hifi. Good metaphor!

    Hi Franz, I have the KP3+ and it doesn't remain on sync: if I just let it play it drift after less than a minute. I tried using my computer as a master and KP3+ as slave. I also tried using an Elctribe as master and it keep loosing the sync. I also tried with computer as master and Electribe as slave to check cables and the Electribe remains on sync. I also tried with Electribe as master and Ditto X4 as slave to check cables and the Ditto remains on sync. I sent the KP3+ to assistance and they returned it with no change. Is there anything in particular you do on the KP3+ besides Shit+Midi Filter>Clock>Ext? Have you had any chance to leave your KP3 play in sync for more than 30 seconds? Thanx

    • @VJFranzK
      @VJFranzK  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It should work, I've often done it. Also you may need to set the electribe to "internal" midi timing somewhere so it is the master. If you really want a tighly synched looper, see 505

    • @iamlate5964
      @iamlate5964 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VJFranzK Thnx Franz, I've already set the electribe to 'internal' sync and I teste with other device and it's funny that a time-based machine can keep the sync. Moreover, midi syncronization is a tool from the 90'!!!

    • @MissedAreas
      @MissedAreas ปีที่แล้ว

      I found the same with the Kaossilator Pro (Green). Didnt sync…. Not ideal, for a Midi connection 😂
