3 1/2 decades ago people with gender dysphoria who were transsexuals were being forced into the open by gay and lesbian political group along with bisexuals so that they had the numbers to get political clout for gay marriage rights especially in the United States. We lived in the Woodwork we didn't want anything to do with it and we still don't! Them and the ridiculous 100 pronoun group have turn the word trans into meaning anything. They have literally bothered people who wanted to have private conversations with their doctors and live in the Woodwork and not bother anyone into a political force now grooming children into transness which is why we have all these detransitioners who are left with scarred bodies and ruined lives and the resulting mental issues they will suffer with for the rest of their life. This is what your past political gay and lesbian leadership did. Now the chickens have come home to roost and you're blaming the trans Community which doesn't really exist because that's just a bunch of nonsense it means anything these days and it means nothing at all at the same time. Real transsexuals do not want to be included in this nonsense we do not want to live in the Limelight we want to live in the Woodwork and we want to be left alone and not be associated with these Kooks!

My PT is a young lesbian woman who told me recently that she doesn’t talk about being lesbian to too many people because of what’s going on. Her and her partner had not heard of the LGB alliance - I have passed on the details as these young women need this level of support from focused caring organisation.

I disagree. "Kindness" (aka tolerance and affirmation) is what got us into this mess. Firm and adult guidance is what these kids lacked but needed. I'm so glad I grew up before all that trans ideology was a thing. I loved sports (football, boxing, judo) as a girl, never wore dresses, had a majorly male group of friends, cut my hair short, never liked dolls. nowadays they would tell me i was a girl in the wrong body which isn't true.
Same here. I've always been independently minded, so I might have been able to see through the rhetoric, but it is still worrying. I know some other gay people who eventually came to believe they were trans, went on hormones or wanted to etc. It's a tragedy.
