Hi Mel. I keep scissors, tape, sticky tack, tacks, pens, screw driver, a few batteries, command hooks etc in my utility drawer. It does need cleaned out every few months though.

I love your clever use of items around the house to help organize your drawers. Like the plastic caps from products you purchased. Also, having just the frequently used items nearby and not intertwined with barely used items. Such a good idea!
I use the potato masher to help with cooking ground beef. It really helps mash the meat up, lol

You can get intense, Melinda. Wow, after all the effort you went into re-organizing that one catch-all drawer, it better stay organized! LOL. Well, you found a few things which is still progress. Good job.

The final result is super functional so that's what counts... just be sure to tell Randy where you put the extra batteries so he doesn't think you're low and buy more. I have a bad habit of reorganizing things and not informing my other half.
@@jennyjenkins877 😂😂😂 It's faster and easier when I'm not looking through the camera half the time and can actually see that stuff won't fit 😜. But otherwise, that's how I do it. Try all the ways. My brain was apparently determined to use that skinny tray. 🤷It was not giving up. I'm a cricket and I like puzzles. When I got the puzzle worked, I could actually feel a happy smile inside of me.
I could have done a before and after, but I think it's important for people to see that sometimes you gotta figure it out.
Went through my toolbox while I watched you. I am going to replace screwdrivers with ergonomic ones that are magnetic that will be easier to use. Phillips and flathead.

Hey Melinda! Your utility drawer reminds me of mine! I have a few more office supplies here. My desk is the kitchen table. I have the same empty red packing tape holder - except I found an poorly fitting roll of packing tape. I put it in a drawer in a sofa table where I keep a few other utility items like bud vases, extension cords, etc. I need to work on our gadget drawer. It’s never felt right.
We have a battery drawer in that same sofa table. It sits along a wall next to the kitchen.
