- Super nice and clean Mira TR-XX on Mount Rokko, often refered as being a "nugget" by Mighty Car Mod, which means nothing, but weirdly fits the car :)
Very fast and very fun! Playing with a 250cc sports bike from 5mins in :)

Always a special place in my heart for the Mira TR-XX, first car I ever drove in Japan was an Avanzato TR-XX! Someday I'd love to get another one, but after working on the Gemini, I think the FWD model is definitely the one to get, AWD systems require a special kind of mechanic to work on, haha.
The FWD needs a LSD to really be awesome... with it, it would be real fast! But I really struggle putting power down in second gear on corner exits...

It won't be the same, but it's still a pretty good car.

Daihatsu ceria Predessor..
It's not its predecessor, the Ceria is a rebadged Mira to begin with :)
From what I understand, all the Ceria are just rebodied L200 Mira. the Ceria also never came out with the TR-XX engine, it was stuck with the NA version, making about half the power.

I truly wish I had an opportunity to drive these little things. The sounds they make are incredible. Definitely up there on my 'wish-list' to own in the future, along with a classic Mini. My current car is the Peugeot 107 which I absolutely love to bits, but I always wonder how other cars feel to drive. The vibrations, sounds, steering feel, throttle response, gear selection. Thank you for the fantastic video!
All those hoses from turbo and intercooler are need to be replaced as cracks and hardened caused by high temperature. Especially for 2nd hand Mira, just like mine which need to replace as cracks and damaged hose will make your car doesn't perform to it's full potential. Just like the hose that came off from the intercooler as seen in your video. I've experienced the same when bought from my friend, replaced new hoses with screw type hose clips, serviced the throttle body, new air filter, new spark plugs, new fuel filter and then only i'm enjoying the nugget. The only thing left is the speed cut at 140kmh which need the RSM or maybe an on/off switch to bypass the cut-off. For comfort drive the coil springs upper and lower bush for rear and later for the front suspension. It's fun to drive for sure.

I love the green turbo spool warning light. my 1988 mazda bfmr had one too :)
in mint condition, this tiny turbo charged 660 cc version could easily do 100 mph.

This a still a regular car at where I lived. I even owned one before, only problem I have is that the car is too low. Our roads are not good and puddles is deep, compared to the car.

Both cars are VERY similar...I think I prefer the Mira, but this is mostly due to what I think is better build quality...
We don’t have Daihatsu cars in America, but I think this car looks nice.
