    Basically John Gokongwei just dropped all the bs, and just did what he had to do. No overthinking nor overanalyzing nor having the need of them fancy university degrees, and just simply got past whatever hang-ups and thrived. Now he's successful af. Tapos ang usapan!

    i saw him at robinsons galleria supermarket around 8am. he wears very simple polo shirt, casual short and sandals wow very simple man he is.

    they say that billionaires in the philippines are mostly chinese, i agree on that, but seeing this man on this interview, his family name really sounds chinese but the way he talks is really filipino... thats normally how a filipino elderly speak english

      and being a billionaire in the philippines is not based on your family background and culture. it is based on your experiences and adapting to failures turning them to success. just saying :)

      He is a true blue Cebuano, he may have chinese roots but his mannerism and the way he talks is very cebuano.
