The truth can be so hard to receive but it’s time to let go. I realized that my whole life I’ve chased and begged others to see and love me for me. I can no longer keep breaking my heart, I pray the Lord will give me strength to walk away and to finally be free.

I am grieving what I desired. I learned that I am in a fantasy. It is hard to live in this truth, in this reality.

Right on with the convincing part. If you have to convince your parents, it's all you come to know.

It’s so sad how our inner childhood voices stay. It’s even worse when it’s continuous because it’s a close family member. Anyway, this episode randomly played for me this morning and it was something I needed at that exact moment - thank you. I know this doesn’t replace therapy but when you lose access and randomly find the exact topic you wanted to discuss. It is very appreciated.

I needed this . I like a man that doesn’t like me like that and it’s so hard and I kept sleeping with him even though he told me he just wanted to be friends with benefits and I wanted more but I kept hoping he would like me back and see my value. When I told him how I felt he basically questioned me and then ultimately walked away to go on a date with another girl…😩🤦🏾‍♂️ I felt so devastated and made the choice to never go back and now hearing this is helping me a little.

Your timing is as impeccable as always, Dr. Thema. I need guidance in letting a friend go... one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do.

I spent 32 years working my Best to Please a man who wanted me to be somebody else! It would be a total waste except I got five children I love to the depths of my soul.only he killed two of them with his stupid expectations. Thank Goodness! I believe in Heaven and I will see them again! 😊❤
