Ever since their retirement I always come back to this video to remember what times I had with these buses. (Edit to this) wierd why southern never got these until the nova artics
How does SEPTA keep them in such great condition. Houston METROs Neoplans were beat down by the time they were auctioned off.The bellows were very worn. The DDS50 in ours was not strong like these. METRO purchased them in the same years just about, 1996-1999. Even PAT took better care of there Neoplans than METRO. You know they got our rejected order of 25 units in 1998. At 14 they are still going strong, By 12 ours had 300000 miles avg,so I thought that they could go longer. Thnx for video!
That engine at 1:33 reminds me of the 6 bus I used here everyday going to school back in 2002 - 2006 ..God I miss these buses & im sure in 30 years ima be saying the same abt the nova articulated
Exellent Recording! Hey do these have the kneeling feature, you know for like the elderly or small children? Ours in Houston had it but none of them worked.
I remember riding them on the 33 and 54 when visiting my aunt's house.

It's already no good, they're old, and they're dated and probably had issues.

@havenas1020 Some might once New Flyer artics start coming in, but some will also stay around past 2012.
Well, as of 2016, it's not new flyer artics. It's Nova LFS artics.
these buses sound like the community transit buses from Washington state
sounds pretty nice

These buses should have never been scrapped. They was nothing wrong with them.
I wished they preserved at least ONE. Just one! But noooooo that's too much to ask of SEPTA.
@Trainwizard LMAO. They at least persved a Nabi, right?
@@truckspotting7473 nope!
