Just been using this for about 6 months, light use. The flipper action was very stiff but I've managed to loosen the screw and that helped a lot. What I have issue with, and the reason why I am seeing this video in a first place is that I am trying to service the knife and I am completely unsure how the hell do you take the pivot apart. Just keeps spinning, no way to stop the other side from spinning. It's made like they did not want you to even service it. Over all, my first knife, so not bad. However I've since went for Kizer as they come in a bit more expensive but I think I'm doing myself a favour by not dealing with "cheaper/ lower quality knives". This Gerber is liked by a lot of people around me, but once you start using it, nothing amazing. Still really like the aesthetics though. Thanks for the vid!
I have an Asada, and I run into all the same issues as you. I tried to disassemble it the other night to clean/oil it, and found out the screws are soft and cheap (they immediately started to strip), and that they used a lot of thread lock on it too.

I got this knife from lowes. It’s junk. The bearings absolutely suck. The clip was held on by 1 of 2 screws. I emailed Gerber and I’m waiting to hear back. The pocket clip screw was just jammed in at an angle so it would “stay”. The flipper sucks, it should have a hole or studs. Very disappointed. I sharpened it to a nice edged otherwise the bearings are still crap - no clip and the lock up is about 125% and supremely difficult to unlock. Last edit - the detent sucks as well.

Just send it in to gerber. Their email is down right now. Fill out a warranty form, and send it in. They will replace it for you
I just got one of these for $15 I don't think it's to bad and I'm also a bigger guy
