I enjoy her realness, she speaks confidently, without hesitation, she is the mother and the child in her paintings. I wish I could've one day been able to visit and be graced by her presence
She was right to ask in the group:" why did you make this piece of artwork? What the motivation? Did it make you feel better? Some wanted to be artists. She replied: "to be an artist is a privilege". So true... ever so true😌
Something about LB is very sad to me. She’s worked hard to ‘get rid of her memories’ but hasn’t succeeded. To wallow in negativity your whole life seems a torment- but, then, her art is a fabulous display of tragedy. Look at Francis Bacon’s art. Look at H. Bosch. What an opposite to Van Gogh whose life was a torment but whose art is life-affirming.

"It is not a torment to be an artist, it is a privilege"
Soooo much!! I hope the myth of the tortured artist is dead.

i'm pretty sure she meant it literally, not metaphorically
Best moment in untucked yet
It can also be a torment.

I feel uncomfortable how the man is using "whatever it is" to describe her works all the time
yes, it feels ignorant and dismissive and quite disrespectful
I don't like those two guys talking about her work in general. they seem like they really don't understand it
