Dude, I can't believe it, but I have numbers 10 through 6, AND number one! I don't have many Black Series 6's, as I've mostly collected 3.75 figures, so that caught me by surprise, and I went ahead and subscribed. It appears we are of like mind, lol!
The Ahsoka is amazing! Agreed on that one. In the video you asked about favorites, so...I like my Darth Nihilus the best, and my Commander Wolfe next. All the 6's are amazing, really. I can't believe I'm falling down this rabbit hole though after collecting 3.75 stuff since '78. Regular figures have gotten so expensive we might as well buy the Black.
I always enjoy hearing people's favourites :) I have Nihilus too, he's my wife's favourite Sith Lord so we were both thrilled when he was added to the line. Wolffe is one of my favourite commanders from Clone Wars and I love that they gave him a removable helmet in figure form :) To be honest, it's a great time to be getting into the line! So many great characters are readily available with some real bangers coming down the pipeline! I've always been envious of the world-building potential of the 3 3/4" line, plus the scale really takes me back to my childhood :)
I think he is literally one of the most expensive figures on the aftermarket, which is mental because right before his price spiked he was on clearance
Fun video! Thank you for posting it. The new sculpt for R2-D2 that is on its way for 2023 is my most anticipated figure in years. If done right, it will easily take a top 10 spot for many collectors when it releases for the 40th anniversary of RotJ (or, at least, it'll be a top-10 spot in my eyes). The Ahsoka Tano (Mandalorian) is my newest prized figure. It is incredibly well-done. I am still hunting for Galen Erso... those retailer exclusives drive me crazy. Distribution and availability are terrible in my area, especially in regard to Target stores.
Thanks so much for the feedback! 😁 I am eagerly awaiting that new Artoo, I only have the Dagobah one in my collection since he's the only one I've been able to track down in the wild. But that new tooling and hopefully a better proportioned size will be a fantastic addition to the line! I lucked out on Galen, I found him in a Forbidden Planet during a Christmas trip to Bristol in the UK, about half a year before he started appearing in Targets! 😅 We're in Michigan so it always feels like distribution has forgotten about us! 😅 But I'm glad you were able to track down Ahsoka, she is an exquisite figure and will likely not be bested for a long time in my eyes
Who are you and where do you come from!!?? Why have I not been lulled into stillness by your mellifluous voice previously? An interesting list for sure! Not sure I would agree, but I didn't quite agree with the Basement boys either! Not too sure about deluxe Palps being this high in everyone's best 10 as well. I finally pulled the trigger on him recently and the actual throne looks more like it scales with 3.75! An upgrade on original and archive for sure though. Just subbed in the hope you are a bs/sw channel as I haven't had the chance to look at your page yet!! You Sir, are a shot in the yt dark!!
Thanks for the great feedback and the kind words! 😁 I originally hail from South East England, and now live in Michigan. I think we all have a different idea of what the best figures in the line are, since a lot of it comes from our personal connection with the characters, the media and the figures themselves. Most people probably wouldn't include Dooku on their list but something about that figure really got to me when I first got my hands on him. I agree the throne feels a touch small, even for the figure when you compare how he looks in the film to how the set looks and his size within the chair. I think this was another figure that owes its high placement in part to the story of how he came to be in my collection as well as my thoughts on the actual figure itself. Well welcome to the channel! Glad you found us and happy to have you :) we've got a lot of Black Series content up and even more coming so I hope you stick around :)

@@grandmofftony Yes, you are completely right in this list being subjective, rather than objective. Dooku can easily be in the mix due to headsculpt. Mine was a birthday gift in 2020 if I'm remembering rightly, he still holds a proud spot in my desk display :) I'm super excited for Jesse, being a Walmart exclusive I'm looking forward to a challenging hunt!
Ah never fear! She is my all-time favourite figure in the entire line, the artistry, the engineering, the colours, she is just perfect. Every time I see one on shelves I have to remind myself I already have her 😅😅 or I'd just buy all of them 😅😅
Rex is fantastic but I'm not fond of the shoulder piece being in the animated style when it should look like Bly's, start of a bad trend with Hasbro mix matching animated looks with realism. In my list i'd probably swap Rex with Bly but they're both top tier figures for sure. Great list, hard to argue with since they're all superb! Only contenders I can think of would be Teebo, Ventress, L3-37, Rio Durante, Death Watch Mando, Dagobah Luke, Jar Jar (woof), Zeb, Saw Gerrera, and any of the ARC troopers (although i'm partial to the recent Walmart exclusive, inaccuracies to the OG clone wars be darned lol)
I'm a big fan of the Clone Commanders in general, but you are right there's a mismatch of constistency in the line sometimes when it comes to interpretations of animated characters. Jar Jar and Ventress are solid additions to the line, and are most definitely counted among the best of their respective years. And that Walmart ARC Trooper is actually the only figure from the Tartakovsky line I actually want, but so far it continues to slip through my fingers 😅
My list: Rotj Boba Fett, Mandalorian death trooper, the Mandalorian, count dooku, bossok, clone wars obi wan, kylo (fa), Vader ESB, general Grevious, mace Windu
Solid choices, Windu has an exceptional likeness and I do have a soft spot for that Grievous I just wish his ankles were a touch stronger. I missed out on FA Kylo, but I recently saw him in a collectibles store so I will go back for him :) thanks for the feedback!
@@grandmofftony I liked the hasbro Grievous until I was told about the Bandai Model Kit Grievous, which is probably one of the best 1/12 Star Wars figures of all time.

Emperor on throne was ridiculously expensive to me at the time since I wasn’t collecting Black Series yet. I hope they surprise rerelease him in the ROTJ anniversary window. I love the Ahsoka, and I’ve decided not to pay aftermarket for the season 7 Clone Wars and just hold on to this one then grab season 3 later in the year. I feel obligated to complain in every comment section that the single-carded Corvus Ahsoka doesn’t include her cloak.
My wife has never admitted how much she paid for season 7 Ahsoka, so I haven't asked because I imagine it was a lot 😅 To be honest, on the subject of the cloak, even if she had come with it I don't know if I would display her with it on. I feel like it would cover up so much of the fantastic sculpted detail that makes this figure great. On the other hand, I do understand the disappointment that it wasn't included until the three pack
All Jedi characters should include a soft-goods cloak or robe in the packaging - even if they aren't typically known for wearing one. All of my space wizards and stellar sorcerers need fancy robes to wear to fancy parties. I was also disappointed that the standard release for Ahsoka did not include the grey cloak.
I'm certainly inclined to agree, I feel like back in the olden days when the Black Series was just finding its feet you could almost make any appearance for a character from the components you got in the box. Personally I've had a difficult relationship with soft-goods so the lack of robes in the line never bothered me, but they've definitely made some impressive leaps and bounds with their soft goods recently, so I could be persuaded to "robe up" some of them if they started including them. 😅
Excellent list!
