Yay!! A video to wake up to!!! My favorite!! And laughs at the end lol highlights!! I had those growing up. Alston’s grandmother actually has been ordering the kids highlights for the last 10 years. I don’t have the heart to tell her the kids are too old now 😂😬 but we still love the hidden picture pages. Great video! My heart sank when u passed the granny closet lol those are my favorite places to find goodies (especially for me) 🤷🏻♀️
Lol. Oh yeah, I forgot you love those granny clothes! 😂 so funny on the highlights! I’ve had older relatives do stuff like that when I was a kid. They think you are 5 years old forever. 😂 glad to give you a vid to wake up to. Enjoy your special day!
Bringing boxes or bags to load up all your stuff while you hunt is the WAY TO DO IT. Not only does it help you carry it all, they always give you the stuff so much cheaper in total because they don't really want to look through and price out each item (at least not most of the time) depending on what you have in there. I use that technique ALL the time at estate sales :)
man those safety pins were super cool! and so many of them to sell! #13 is my lucky number, and you found LL bean and Merrell boots right off the bat! scores for sure!!!!! thanks for sharing
I thought you needed one more notification from me today 😂 I’m sorry PT doesn’t like your sense of humor but at least you got a happy dance from Daisy!! I would have never thought to pick up Highlights, I read them as a kid and so did my kids...if we only knew! I try to think outside of the box, but you really do, so that’s always inspiring!!
I (the guy from Moravia) spent about an hour in that room where you found the Highlights magazines. I was in there before you got there. I dug deep and found lots of neat old books and vintage paper. But I completely missed the Highlights magazines (which I would have picked up in a heartbeat) because they were covered with the copy paper and other modern supplies. Lesson learned. That won't happen again. :-) It was a great sale, but I wish they let us in the basement and attic. I took a quick look in the BIG dumpster in the front yard before leaving. It was almost full. So they filled a dumpster BEFORE the sale! My wife picked up 4 very nice nativity sets, which is a BOLO for her. I'm sure we'll meet again at another sale someday. We enjoy your videos.
Thanks Hedrick! It was great to meet you both! Glad to pass on the Highlights tip! Yeah, estate sale dealers often thrown lots of stuff away in dumpsters before the sale because the houses are often so chaotic that ppl cannot walk through the home if they did not do that. Some valuable stuff can be thrown out when they do that. Good job on the nativity sets! Hope to see you again soon! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I love seeing all the Swedish items! I’m from a town in MN that is a sister city to a town in Sweden and we have a lot of Swedish heritage items in town. We have a huge two story Dala Horse downtown so seeing that tapestry made me smile 😁
Man I really enjoy your videos. I've just started doing yard sales today I got a working Magnavox VHS DVD recorder working for $2.00 sold comps for $80 to $120 also got a new fish finder NIB for $10
Good job on the safety pins I bought some at the dollar store and they were real thin cheap it's hard to find good pins but you just got some good ones
That estate sale looks like a blast! Can't believe those like new looking boots and stuff got passed right up lol. I would be one pair of those will get you back the $30 at least. Slow and steady wins the race!
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter I imagine those Merrell ones? I have a pair of hiking boots I paid $200 for, so I have had my eyes out for a bit for that kind of stuff haha. I went new because I usually have toe issues and just want a good product when it comes to survival. Mine are Keen boots. Only been on one hike with them so far though. But once the snow is gone I will get out some more to do it. Not a big fan of slippery surfaces at high elevation. Keep your eye out for hiking backpacks too! I found a really nice one I use that was $1 at a sale.
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter the travel decals are called Water Slide decals...they were put in your car windows in the 50s-70s or so to show where you traveled to. Soak in water and slide off onto the glass window. Then blot the water off
Maybe you already told ppl but me being relatively new I heard you say you work full time at the hospital. Omg you’re a busy man Can I ask what you do at the hospital? Didn’t know you had kids either. Don’t they like to be on videos either? Love Daisy what a sweet good minded dog☺️💗
Because that makes it more of a target for the dealer to jack the price up on them. Put in individually and they didn’t even factor them into the price. 😃
In going to these sales, how do you prepare for your videos before you pick things up without someone coming to snatch it up before you do. It’s mystifying….
If you see anything you are interested in, just let me know and I can make you a deal.
You have to be one the most informative TH-cam reseller channels. Always great helpful information. I learn so much from your videos.

..low key thumbs up 4 life.

I loved Highlights as a kid - always were in my pediatrician's office and we were there A LOT! Thanks for the memories!
Love your video in the ransacked bedroom you missed 2 vintage Hudson bay wool blanket. They were folded on the bed. Keep up the great job. Ron
Working on blankets this year. See my video posted 5/23/20 for the giant Afghan I found
As a Swede in America I would be thrilled to find those Swedish traditional items. That's nostalgic to me, growing up with the dala häst. Great find.
Thank you! Very cool!
Nice vintage wool blankets. On end of bed upstairs.
I love the way you do your videos and telling us how to see items and how much they’re worth. Thanks much!
Thanks Pat! I appreciate you watching! Be sure to subscribe 😃
Great video. I love old paper products (ephemera) now thanks to Auction Professor. Love the videos you two do together.

What a killer estate haul you got 👍👍👍👍👍

Most other people don't look for the kind of stuff that you Don and I look for..So being #20 or higher never bothers me either

Hi! So if the magazines like highlights are written in, don’t get them?
Depends on the age, how many you get, and how much writing there is. If it’s just slight it could be ok but should be kept to a minimum
Great video what a house

Did the little electric Water heater sell yet
You didn't even look at the wool blankets. A good wool blanket can sell for $ 4-500.
A piece. Plus should own several for when the electricity is out.
@@puppyeyes9368 wrong. I did look at them when I walked in and decided I don’t need them because I have plenty that I still need to list.
Why did you put the safety pins in your box individually, instead of just putting the entire case of pins in your box?
Because that makes it more of a target for the dealer to jack the price up on them. Put in individually and they didn’t even factor them into the price. 😃
Why didn't you just put the box in your box? Like with the safety pins?
Vintage wrapping paper has value as well, so don’t overlook it.
Highlights books I want how much.I want please

Dreaded granny closet...she provided you with goodies...
Highlights has the most boring cover for a child ever! I hope you make a bundle on them!
I killed it on them. Sold great. Agree on the covers but I used to flip through them at the dentists office when I was a kid lol

You should not have that weji board especially if is wood especially if your a christian
Why not? I don’t believe in superstition and it sells.
im glad your good at sourcing because you will never make it as a comidian
It was purposely meant as a bad joke as a mechanism to bring Petey back on. Lol
