Heard a good joke the other day ☺️ what did one hat say to the other? “ You stay here, and I will go on a head” 😊
Plz plz plzzzz keep Wallin coming and going. He's so cute!! I love his " HI dad, can I get a treat? Thanks, dad. I'm heading out to check the grounds" attitude😊. AND his darling little ears get me every time! Love seeing your family stop in and say hello, including your fur babies, their family too ❤. Loving you and your channel from Seattle, Washington xoxoxox cheers
11:29 I use the long Flat (under the bed type)bins to store hats. One deep each brim under the other, you can see the color of the hat and nothing is on top of them squishing them.
Really good tip. That's actually how I store my personal hats lol.
Great idea!
@@karentingler4937 thanks Karen!
My one rule is don't pick up anything breakable unless its really special or comes in a box with its own Styrofoam packaging.😅
My inventory is organized similar to yours...by category, and so far I have no trouble finding my sold items.
I enjoy your videos. Good input.
KEEP WALLIN! He's an important supporting character!😊 Such a sweet dog!❤
Thank you so much Kevin for sharing your processes and your path of thinking on reselling. It may not fit everyone but it can certainly give everyone something to think about as they move forward.
For the hats, use the long flat under the bed bins as mentioned below, BUT make a bank of shelves to hold one bin each. Stacked on its own shelf. Then you just slide the bin out, visually see which hat you need. No more digging through large bins.
Newer seller I appreciate the knowledge. Sweet shirt
Great Sales Kevin and family and I’m looking forward to the dibbits #’s to see if it’s worth me putting all my scrapbook lots over there for sale. Too try to recoup some of my $$ but for another seller to make $$. I just need to clear house and my moms farm bldgs. I have over $30,000 in scrapbook you name it I have it - providing my mom hasn’t taken it and given it away like so much of expensive stuff. Wow it finally reappeared after threatening to press charges. Telling her we had them on camera. ❤😂
Stay Safe and God Bless! The worst thing I ever did was sell my house. Shame on me!
We love seeing those sales come through on another platform! Congrats on the sales 🎉
Hey Kevin, glad your at the point in your reselling that your minimum sale is $15. I hope to be their one day, but for now, I’ll sell the “ SMALLS”, because the$5-$10 items add up and are easy to list & sell
Another great video. Great joke, Turner!! We're adults, we can handle a good blonde joke! Kevin, this was a really good recap or wrap-up of all that's going on. I'm so glad your "followers" me included are sticking up for you in the comments! This is a free country, you do what works for you and let others do what works for them. This is entertainment. Everybody take a breath!❤
Hi Kevin, thank you for the great Ebay experience! Keep the great content coming.
Special thanks to you Kevin for the informative videos you share weekly. I've learned a lot from you and other resellers like Kayla and Matt. Who knew going to garage sales, estate sales and Goodwill would be so much fun! A nice hello from Jennifer & Kabe from Petal, Mississippi.
The advice really helps!❤
Thanks kevin!
Awesome this inspired me to get organized 😅. Thank you!!
I like the videos kind of a rambling vlog sorta style takes a while to get to the point, but I don’t mind since the guy is so likable
Really awesome advise. You should share more often. We are here for it!
Lol. I’ll leave that up to the professionals
Kevin..can't wait to see y'all in Georgia!
"THE BUNDLE" Great idea!!
What a fantastic video Kevin,
I am exhausted cause I start my regular job at 4am and I will absolutely be back to watch this! So much information !!!💯💕💯
Awesome, thank you!
I agree with the shoes. I stopped picking them.up unless the return is 400% and they must need MINIMAL cleaning.
Caveat to that, BIGFOOT shoes I do like to oickup. Anything larger than size 13 sells well.
Your smart and fun!😊
YARD SALE- this is how I get rid of items that aren't worth posting on eBay
Forgot to mention.. your sheds are the bomb!
I have found that knowing flea market vendors and antique store owners for the smaller things, a big time saver. If I can sell a $20. item outright for $10. It’s worth it not going through EBay, especially if it’s a hard to ship item.
Love that Turner!!!
Kevin- love the video but had to laugh about 1/2 way through. I haven’t seen a string to pull a lightbulb on since I was a kid in the 60s in North Carolina in my grandmother’s closet. Thanks for the memories!
Like the show. Hate the 5 or 6 commercial breaks the tube shoves in. Daughter is about to start selling online. Our hangup is packing and shipping. Thinking a show on how you have learned this vital part of online sales. (Does not do a lot of good to sell 30 items if 5 break and shipping costs you $12 each.) Thanks. Learned a lot. I would buy, but we are a storage shed with a roof right now... 😂😂
I always thought you not sorting after buying, and not listing in a timely way, was very odd. Glad you figured out a better way
I don't source for 4 months a year. I need a back stock.
I gotta say you inspire me! I'm retired and use ebay to supplement my pension. You inspire me to list, to shop and even to clean my doir. Just kidding there. Great channel, great family!
Hey Kevin, love the videos brother.. very informative stuff!.. just noticed the Canadian liscence plates eh!!.. anyways, hello from Toronto Ontario Canada 🇨🇦!
thank you
Many bulk buyers have a way to sell off the lesser items: Treasure Hunting with Jebus and Wade's Ventures, yard sales, Resale Rabbit, the warehouse sales, Locker Nuts, the two flea markets. They all get rid of a lot of items in a short time.
Watching since last September? I've been watching since you had 500 subs 🎉😮
lol yes you have my friend.
Keep them all coming.🐈⬛🐕🦮🐈
I feel like my process is similar. Also, in the back of my mind when I am sourcing, is how much do I have in my store and if it’s selling. If my store is bloated with one type of item (say plush) I don’t pick up any more unless it’s a huge BOLO.
Good system. Wish I could get rid of half my stuff, or start over altogether.
A few years back, the shipping rates for heavier items were really impacting profits from higher ebay fees and the possibility of high return shipping, so I leaned towards more items under a pound. Now the shipping rates for the items under a pound are hurting sales and cutting into profits. And now as well the shipping prices for heavier items have really come back to earth and make it more feasible to sell heavier items. Sell through rate is the most important factor in what to sell, but shipping rates are definitely a driving catalyst that affects buyer decisions which in turn could have an effect on sell through rates as well. Oh the ever changing ebay evolution can be exhausting!
I agree with this
I need this video!
can't help but watch this and feel like you're telling Dave to stop buying bulk trash lol
My general criteria is nothing under 10.00 and it needs to have at least a 3-4x ROI and at least a 60% sell thru rate.
Kevin, the animals deserve more camera time.
Like Kevin said, time is money. When I sold jewelry, the items were in baggies in named bins, lightweight and quick to pack and ship. But..if I couldn't sell it for at least $20 I didn't buy it, and the buy price had to be about 25% of the sell price. Any more, not worth the effort. Literally. Now it would be $40/$50 because the lower value items aren't selling anyway. Or weren't the last I looked. Bulk lots either - the shipping ate into the selling price too much. I still resell to other dealers, but the leftovers get donated mostly. Better charities make money off of them than I make Groundhog Day work for myself trying to deal with it.
I'm a blonde and I loved Turner's joke! 😂
You might have some challenges with training your customers that 30% off = closeout. I don't know your particular clientele but I can't say that for sure. Marketing-wise these days, 30% off is more like a regular promotional price. When I get those (dozens of) 5% off Best Offers from eBay sellers, I don't even bother to click through because 5% is totally invisible as a discount. It's usually pennies, or a buck or two on the price range I'm shopping online. 20-25% would get my attention. Anything around that range most consumers would see as a decent sale price. "Clearance" is more like 50% and above: we've been trained by the Outlet stores, clearance shelves in the back of the store, etc. Of course the best thing to do is test. See what the turn on clearance is over X amount of time. If it's not paying the rent within the test period, you just move on to the next test. :)
I send tons of offers at 5 percent off and I sell a bunch of them.
Have you ever analyzed free vs item + shipping sales? I am assuming that the buyer is just looking at overall pricing?
I always talk about evolving my business I have implemented changes like minimum asp but the biggest change I've seen is when I'm purchasing I look for items that meet my $40 minimum profit after fees and shipping
Those aren’t always easy to find.
@@commonwealthflipper I know that but I also have space confinement so I need to make every dollar per square foot make I also need to pay the person that ships and takes pictures for me
@@commonwealthflipper I'm also in a large metro area where a lot of people aren't trying to resell the same and that profit margin is available if you know what you're looking for competition is wising up to some of the things I look for but I still find great stuff
I barely have any ebay sales. I need to go through it all and weed out all the bad stuff. Actually, I would like to start over with no inventory. I just don't have the time. Any suggestions?
You need to sell at 3x what you pay minimum for the slow dime model or at least 2x what you pay for the quick nickel model or it is barely worth your time.
You risk loosing money if you lower your asp below these thresholds.
It's about averaging
Good sales must pay for bad buys unforseen losses of time and money and still have profit left.
*this is my business perspective not hobby perspective.
Seems to me you are conflating ROI and ASP For me it is all relative to time and profit
I've been bundling stuff for years that doesn't sell, or I have too many of.....just bundle and move! I have a big yard sale at least once a year. Stuff that isn't doing anything.....yard sale! After that....make a pile at the end of the driveway...neighbors come take it....and then I donate what's left. It needs to go...find a process. WhatNot and platforms like that...NOT happening. I'm DONE with stuff!
I now only pick up items that are $40 plus.
How should i sell a lot of gi joe?
Don't tell Turner that he's a blonde 😂
I see where Ebay's 30 cent ending fee charge for each auction above $10 is going up to 40 cents after March 15. Every March....a pay increase for them. Thanks for all the great content Kevin. You are the most honest guy out there.
Yup. Euro sellers are also seeing a price increase on the platform. Books are going up to 15%FVF - the same hit jewelry sellers took two years ago. eBay is tone deaf and they're chasing good sellers away.
@@OriginalNethead After 24 years, every March a hike in fees, is sickening. Even sometimes another in Oct. They don't want little sellers like me who only sell 500-600 items a year. Time to call it quits, I think.
You know our nephew had blond nurse collected blonde jokes😢
Ha ha Turner😊
oh yea another video while i list this death pile
👍
are you heading out this year at the 100. Maybe you can come on by for some dinner.
@@commonwealthflipper Sounds great, I'd love it
Be nice to wallen #15!
lol
❤🙃
I have a random question for you. I've heard you talk about baseball a lot and remember you taking Turner to see Ohtani in Philly. My question is what is your favorite team? I'm assuming the Nationals or Braves just based off your location.
The Angels. I grew up in socal
@@commonwealthflipper Ok. I feel for you in that chase. Hopefully Moreno sells the team.
Are your 2 sheds near each other?
50 feet away
So you don’t delist and sell similar?
Delist after a year? Yikes that’s fast
every once in awhile I will on an item.
I mean doing it in mass. I think it helps my sales but it makes the whole sales off of specific dates impossible@@commonwealthflipper
*PromoSM* 🤦
