- For the second time in the span of a month, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day has added a famous face as his offensive coordinator.
Friday, after O'Brien was named the new head coach at Boston College, news broke that UCLA head coach Chip Kelly would be the Buckeyes' new offensive coordinator.

What's hilarious is mich fans think it's going to be a air raid attack is in for rude awaking. Chip is more of a run guy and with a mobile qb he will use him in the running game osu should be averaging over 200 on the ground a game.

Did he know all along that his OC & OL coach weren’t staying more than 30 days at Alabama, and use their delay in announcing Seattle Seahawks positions, in order to keep Alabama’s offensive roster together for 30-day transfer portal?

Idk what got into Day after this season, the losses obviously played into it.. but the soft spoken middle school kid vibe was taken behind the shed and shot execution style. Actions and words seem like they are coming from a completely different guy. & the scariest part is Day is 56-8 before ALL of these moves 😱

Question: how much of the reason for Chip switching from Blur at Oregon to more conventional style at UCLA, was due to talent level of his roster at each school?
Probably a lot.
The question is: Is Kelly really a "fresh" view since it the same general offense vs a BOB which was entirely new to the offense?
I believe so because he uses run concepts that we don't since Day has been HC. Chip's run game is much more diverse in concepts and formations than what we have been doing.
Will CK be able to keep our receivers happy?
At the end of the day it's still Ryan Day's offense.

In all honesty, the one thing i question is if there could be an ego clash between Day and Kelly. Seemingly Kelly should know his place since he specifically took this downgrade position. BUT, if there were ever a power struggle between an HC and coordinator… well Chip Kelly hasn’t been in this subordinate position in awhile…
They have worked together a lot over the years both have NFL and college experience and would have been first of Bob but didn't want chip to step down

Because he won’t being doing it. Day is an elite recruiter and hasn’t been able to because of running the entire offense. O’Brien wasn’t going to be a big recruiter either.

@@michaelholley1361 Day is an elite recruiter. He will be doing a lot more of that now that his offense is in trusted hands. He hasn’t been doing it as much as he obviously did when he was under Meyer.
@@michaelholley1361 plus Chip is a good recruiter. Not his fault the game changed and UCLA was willing to join the NIL craze. Thats a lot of why he left.
