So great that they brought out Mulaney, glad SNL also decided to give PDD a spot in the intro, they deserve the credit they’ve really made the show all the more better.
The last time the show gave a popular recurring sketch their own credit in the opening was when Rob Smigel's TV Funhouse cartoons were on. Kinda disappointed SNL doesn't have animated sketches on anymore. Those were what got me to actually like the show (and, with MADtv on back in the mid-1990s, it wasn't easy. Didn't really have the attention span for SNL back then and didn't know that the show's quality varies, which is why it's been on for so long, which is why it took me a while to like it. One of the best PDD pre-tapes due to the fantastic casting of those kids. Che's mother has good comic timing too. And of course, Mulaney shows up in a Pete episode somewhere. Great use of him.
I’ve been a stand up since I was an 18 year old kid. And, when immigrant mom brought home the “Princes of Comedy” tape, because she didn’t feel like talking about the divorce, I promise you my life change. Seeing three kids who obviously went to private school, do comedy was all this black kid needed to have a dream. “Wearing cleats in the house after soccer practice 😂” is still the dirtiest joke, I’ve ever heard. Love from Brazil.
Glad to see the trio back for the season. They always deliver and I’m also glad to see their movie acting careers taking off as well. Well done young men!
Ayooo… anyone who grew up with Def Comedy Jam knows how spot on this was. I was only a kid and I’d watch it with my uncles. From there I found out about Comic View and after that it was a wrap. This actually paid homage to all the early talents that came off DCJ. I was dying laughing at this bit and so was my girl. Funny thing is, it was so funny on its own, she had never heard of Def Comedy Jam. We went and watched a couple old spots after SNL. Salute to these 3 guys. They’re legit great comedians!
This was one of the best sketches I've seen in a couple of years. I'm glad it seems like they're more willing to play with risque humor/topics than they were a couple years ago. For some reason I feel like in 2017 they wouldn't have done this.
These guys are so great! I was lucky enough to see them in San Diego when they were on tour recently. So funny! Had I only known they are the Original Princes of Comedy! LOL!

The actors who played The Princes of Comedy did really well
The outfit of the first kid has been worn several times on Comic View.
Agreed! Also nice username 😊

LITERALLY THIS
Completely silent and clapping like it spoke to him.

Those kids were amazing. They nailed the delivery of Def Jam comics. Also, that coochie lunchable line was genius.
Kudos to the kid actors! Well done!
These guys have been the best part of Saturday night live for the past few years. Very impressive material and consistency.
Including "(White Voice)" in the subtitles of Martin's bit at 1:46 was absolute genius

the crowd did not laugh hard enough at “put a sock in it, wise guy”
TRUE
Crowd sucks always
The guy aggressively giving a standing ovation at 2:16 is just perfect 👌
The fact they did a whole bit with the roots/classic Black standup comedy 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 genius
It’s amazing how far they’ve come, because now they’re in the opening credits! It’s reminiscent of what Andy Sandburg did in the early 2000’s
The little details like the sound engineer quickly attenuating the feedback after Mulaney's joke bombs are what make PDD prerecorded pieces so dope
This was perfect. This is like a fully balanced nutritional meal in comedy form 😂
Put a sock in it Wiseguy!
