“I think I’m done meeting her” HAD ME
I will be using this line at some point in my life lol
🤣
Had you what???
..in the back seat of a Cadillac on a towel?
That's all it takes to have you? Damn your life must suck, it wasn't even funny
Heidi hit the ground hard, no stunt cushioning there. That's commitment. Even Bowen looked genuinely stunned she landed like that.
I think the intention was for her to go through the middle, but the desk moved out from under her quicker than expected so she ended up landing directly on the ground. She's gonna have a bruise for sure 😅.
They both did! Pete instinctively went to ask if she was okay. He looked like he didn't know what to do for a second because that was clearly not how they rehearsed it. Heidi is a champ. I really love her.
Ooooof, her poor tailbone!
I loved Heidi's performance. Slapstick and witty, personified the caricature and then some, delivered with such commitment. Her perfectly timed sardonic humor combined with dedicated hypertrophic eagerness so indicative of those times was perfection...This skit nailed the commentary on long lost Christina Hendricks- John Hamm portrayed Mad Men days, God I fucking loved EVERY fucked up character on that t.v.show. Loved her balletic emotive physicality in conjunction with the way she creates humor with her eyes and tone of voice.
She’s a trooper! She’s my fave
When she picked the phone up upside down and just tried to roll with it😂😂😂
peak moment of the sketch haha
I think everything silly she did was for comedy. Maybe that's crazy thinking, but I saw a pattern
I can’t figure out if that was deliberate or improv!
@@glitterspray deliberate.. it was a breakaway desk, and it was part of the "story"
That's just the kooky, mixed up, topsy turvy life of a
secretary.
I love Bowen's genuine reaction to that very violent fall hahaha
Bowen writing a sketch with an exaggerated Donna from Suits is a classic... really did watch the whole series 😂
How do we know who writes the sketches?
@@tasnimahsan3950I think it’s cuz cast members usually post on ig which sketches so u can assume
Bro that's mad men.
Oooooooh, that was a sketch!?
OK. Thank you for clearing it up…
Here I thought it was just a bunch of words coming out of peoples mouth while they do a bunch of random shit like every other “sketch” this week.
What happened to the show?
… It’s just, sad.
@@djchino774 I thought the retro early-1960's footage was there for a reason.
Heidi carried this sketch so magnificently, you can almost ignore the fact that they forgot to write a punchline.
I thought it was going to be a robot with chatGPT or something but nope just modern SNL zero punchline zero skill.
Its like so many skits now.. they have decent ideas, good acting but the writing is completely unfunny garbage.
punchlines are overrated. its cheap and uncreative
@@salomonrael8117 It's also literally the entire point of a joke.
@@salomonrael8117 what about having any comedic value whatsoever. This was awful.
Heidi got me from her first line to the last. She is so good in every character she plays!! She is using all of her being and is so dedicated, a bless for SNL! And she deserves every scene or kiss she got in every episode from the cute guest stars! :P Go Heidi!!! :D
She should have her own sitcom
She is top-notch.
Was she speeding? Freaked me out?
She also looks smokin hot in this scene.
@@TrueWalker88I normally don't go for women with beehive hairdos (I prefer flips and bobs), but she's not bad looking here. It makes wonder why her boss needs to smoke "a fatty" before hooking up with her.
Physical comedy is not easy. Heidi Gardner is fantastic. She elevates every scene she's in, even at times when it's only a few lines. Keep giving her showcase sketches like this.
Heidi Garner is such a pro. She hit it out of the park in this skit. Respect
Yes, we saw the tie tonguing
She’s smokin hot
@@busterhikney6936There's a possibility she may have even styled her own hair.
I knew Heidi Gardner could do anything acting-wise, but I did not know she was also her own stuntwoman.
Heidi took that fall like a champ, great sketch 😂👏🏽
That desk fall was so unexpected 😂
I remember walking past Heidi in Brooklyn bridge park last year with her shades on, my heart dropped and my boyfriend wasn’t convinced, so I had to pull up her instagram & there she was with the same blunt bob haircut, I was in shock but didn’t want to invade her privacy. My day was MADE. A win is a win 😂
A few years ago I was entering a patisserie in Portland trying to maneuver a stroller and I saw someone out of the corner of my eye that I registered as familiar on some level. My wife then said that it was some celebrity and I managed to guess with her vague hints that it was Owen Wilson. He was wearing a hat but as we were walking down Alberta St we walked past him and it was definitely him. I wouldn’t have bugged him even if I had noticed in the moment it was him, but it’s still kinda cool to recognize someone out in the wild.
Wow, such a great storyteller. I was riveted. Got anymore of those gems?
Go ask your mother, incel...@@benswindlehurst1857
Once I walked passed Vanessa Bayer on the street in the East Village, I tried not to stare but I probably failed. Then I kept walking. Story over.
@@Aaron-xq6hv it’s hard to look away when your amazed I tried too lol, I would’ve evaporated into thin air if I saw Vanessa 😰
I honesty loved this stupid sketch it was hilarious heidi did a great job tonight 😂.
When she fell through that desk 😂
Did you notice the cup on her desk it did like a flip it's pretty awesome
Heidi is so freaking talented
She kills me yo
Heidi's my favorite cast member 😄😂🥰
Love the era-correct bra!
OMG I loved that. Heidi is perfection. The accent had me and I honestly didn't expect her to fall on that desk like she lives in a van down by the river. LOL
This Chris Farley reference -- !!
AHHH I love this comment!!
this comment wins the internet
SHE FELL THROUGH THE FUCKING DESK???
Lmaoo I ain't even gonna try and lie about it, that caught me all the way off guard. They got me, hook, line, and sinker.
Heidi’s delivery was so on point, really liked the Mad Men type spoof to this sketch. Think they made a great choice getting Pete to kick off the new season
Everyone over-uses the term "on point". I'm pretty sick of it. Every review and every comment "on point".
@@ruffxm sorry :(
@@techytrekki Apologies are for wrongdoing. You didn't have to apologize. You didn't do anything wrong. If you want to use the words _on point_ to describe things, then do it, okay? You do you.
@@fiona9443 thank you ❤️ you’re so kind, need more people like you in the world 🤗
@@techytrekki No need to apologize. I'm simply expressing an opinion. Just because someone has an opposing opinion doesn't make them unkind as you eluded to. That's the problem with the world today...everyone is so sensitive.
I totally wasn't expecting the slapstick, physical of Heidi falling through the dam desk. A good episode back after the writers strike. 😂👍
Impeccable fall through the desk. Loved everything about this sketch.
“Get lost in your butt? I do, my God, I do!” Pete’s delivery was too funny 😂😂😂
I can’t sit here and act like Heidi doesn’t get hotter & hotter. Every time I see her❤️❤️❤️
respectfully, damn heidi
that fall was way too FUCKING FUNNNYYYYYYYY
Brought me back to the days of Chris Farley falls!
She was perfect!
Obsessed with every character Heidi plays 🫶🏻
guys the comeback from the strike is so strong all of these are killers
Wrong.

Aww Heidi. You don't have smoke a fatty for us to know you're a real one.😏
Heidi can acting any role and she is so fabulous!!
Bowen breaking at 2:36 made me giggle. 😂
These are the best sketches. Pure ridiculousness and physical comedy. Heidi KILLED IT. 😂
Heidi Gardner, still got it! Whatta figure!
Love me some Heidi
Hell yeah
At least she hasn't gotten so fat a baby fell out! Am I right fellas? 😂
Heidi really is talented. She always manages to make me laugh whenever she plays a character on here!
The little parts that made me laugh just got bigger & bigger! It started with:
1. Heidi in a 1950s torpedo bra & the way she spoke. Her cadence & voice.
2. When the finishing of the sentence got more obvious, with Kenan.
3. BOWEN WITH THE "CALL ME ALONNA" I DIED! 😂
4. "Get lost in your butt?" 🍒 on top 🤣
alway love a little bit of surrealism in sketches.
Having just watched the "Secretaries" sketch, the extra-hard fall in this one, is a perfect counterpoint!
Heidi did that stunt like a pro! The banter between everyone was so kookie.!
Watching this sketch made me realize how much I missed Heidi, she really is one of the greatest ones! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Heidi is a gem, so funny.
Heidi's outfit have been on on point tonight.
Heidi is a champ! I couldn't stop laughing how she rolled with that upside phone
Dodge Cadillac - now I've heard everything from SNL! 👌
When she fell I died 😂
Still doesn't come close to Molly Shannon.
I love that Pete got the opportunity to host. He was outstanding!
I was NOT expecting Heidi to fall and break the desk like that, lol! That almost looked unintentional, lol.
It wasn't unintentional
@@MrGriff305 Do you have proof? I did my own research and it was in fact unintentional. Stay in your lane.
@@davidbeppler3032 Yes. The proof is that the desk was a frangible breakaway prop, and it was part of the sketch's "story". Happy to correct you.
And who says "stay in your lane" on a random comment? 🤣
The fact that the music that comes in at 2:59 is very "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" coded 😂👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
She is HILARIOUS!! 🤣🤣 that desk break had me falling out my chair 😂 oh man I like her
Heidi deserves to be among a list of Oscar nominees. Her versatility and commitment to her roles is nearly unparalleled in recent sketch history. I hope Hollywood recognizes that and gives her leading roles once she is done with SNL.
Great job on that pratfall, Heidi!
Bowen Yang needs to be featured more. I love him. Heidi as Trudy stole the whole sketch ❤️
He is absolutely the worst person who ever was on SNL.
@@BlindTom61 not the worst but he might as well just hold a copy of the script than try to read cue cards
@@BlindTom61 Bowen is best as characters rather than regular sketch acting. His appearance as "The Iceberg that hit the Titanic" on Weekend Update was an instant classic. Also his "Daddy Long Legs" character comes to mind.
“Smoke a phatty so you know I’m a real one” 🤣👏🏾 SNL never fails!
The way Heidi went rigid when she hit the desk I feel like it hurt 😭
Heidi is SNL's MVP. I love her.
I love Pete
The way he looks at the queue cards every few seconds just
Gosh I love Heidi!!
Heidi falling into that desk, knowing it's going to collapse, is the very pinnacle of committing
heidi was absolutely hilarious
“that’s not a stain it’s a pattern” “well it filled me up!” HELLO
Heidi's movements are sublime!!
Pete killed it here
The way he looked at the queue cards every few
Heidi's physical comedy is so good
Pete has matured so much as a performer. It's great!
Pete is so deserving of this legenddd
this might be one of my favorite sketches of the last 5 years lmao
unhinged & iconic. what a fall
Heidi is the new Queen of SNL
snl is back baby
"get lost in your butt? I do. My GOD I do." lol I know the feeling.
smoke a fatty so you know im a real one 😂😂
I just love that she’s too young to instinctively pick up the correct end of the phone receiver 😍😂❤️
Absolutely love Heidi in this😂
This sketch made no sense because it had so many different things going on and lots of angles. It was absolutely hilarious!
Absolutely some of Heidi's best work😂❤🎉
Finally, something I actually dig. Please, more absurdist humour.
This sketch went weird fast . Loved it lol
We need laughter and SNL delivered. ❤
2:13 "Your sexiest Dodge Cadillac"
Which ofc is even more absurd bc Dodge didn't make Caddys
@@AK-jw7rx wow, look who got the joke...
😊❤ Heidi's secretary character is delightfully animated. Hoping to see more of her in subsequent weeks😅!
She was brilliant.
Can we all take a moment to appreciate that acrobatic mug sticking the landing when Heidi fell through the desk? Judges give the mug a 9.85!
Heidi takes hotness to another level 😊
I love how the desk collapses yet the cup stays upright.
I love a happy ending
Pete walks into the writers room on Monday: "write me a sketch that will get me dumb bimbos."
Her physical humor is hilarious 😂
Lmao bro Heidi is TOO funny😂😂
Heidi 🔥🔥🔥
LoL she looked so helpless when she hit the floor 😂
Super smart sketch - we've never seen Heidi so good - I literally laughed out loud at her fall.
I think this might just be my favorite SNL skit ever. It's not the funniest but it's just exceptional all around.
the sketches just get better and better!
Yo the phone pick up is now a classic moment lol😂
Glad that they brought this back after almost 6 months
the way heidi checks out that envelope lol
It's like somebody challenged Heidi to make a pratfall sexy. I don't think that's been attempted since the Benny Hill show.
SNL these days is mostly staffed by millennials and this is a very particular sort of absurdism that appeals to me having been a teen watching Adult Swim and old Kids in the Hall reruns and the golden "Hader, Mulaney, Armisen and co" era too. You either get it or you don't and I can understand why some people would prefer older seasons but to me most of those sketches DRAG and are built around one single concept beaten into the ground. New SNL is surreal, absurd, not TOO topical but still evocative of something relatable but skewed just enough that it takes you off-guard. I found myself legitimately choking with some of these line drops, not expecting the "get lost in your butt" or the fall... this is gold.
Michael Che’s personal assistant got a new job!! Good for her!
"Smoke a fatty so you know I'm a real one"😂 Took me out
