There's some great fishing in southwest Scotland. Portpatrick, Port logan, mull of galloway all have good Pollack, Coalies, Ballan Wrasse fishing. Beautiful to. There was even some mullet in stranraer harbour last time I went (although that was a few years ago now).
It’s out this world Johnathan! Working my way round the coast and it’s something else! REALLY!? Some brave mullet, sure they’ll make a speedy exit on the first cold day 😅😅
Great video! I'm off to Ayrshire soon and checking out some similar spots on Google maps! This rock spot looks great. Mind sharing roughly where it was?
there are many marks on the scottish west coast where the pollack are always around 2lb-4lb, way bigger than you're getting here, or if you like a 3 day adventure go to skye where you could connect with one 8lb plus! i was on the west coast last week and had 14 in 5 hours with the smallest at 2lb up to 4.75lb and they fight great, i had 14 but it could've easily been high 20's, one skye 6 wks ago i lost a salmon off niest point

Great video and looks great fishing. Can you tell me what rod spec and line you’re using here. I’ve just purchased a Rigged and Ready world traveller for trout spinning but whilst in Scotland thought I’d give the pollack a go and set my second spool up with stronger line. Cheers for any tips.
What type rod were you using? Sorry I’m new to fishing. Love your videos. Finally someone in the uk with charisma. I usually watch USA videos because they make it fun. But your right up there

Great video mate! Hoping to get out and do some rock fishing myself! What is your set up? I am wanting to bag myself a set up from rugged and ready myself.

Mere minnows. Good for bait, but not, takeable to eat.
Get it out to the deeper water and catch something worthwhile.
