    I made one this weekend with card stock that I backed fabric onto the inner side. I love the way it feels. Your right it doesn’t even feel like paper and it is very durable.

    Just a thought; put the spine between the faux leather and the cover - then you won't get a break in pattern, it would also help seal the spine when you fold it. You could also sew down the edges of the spine. You could also make your first layer of mod podge glitter and second clear that way you've got pretty and textured LOL

    Omg, you are amazing. I've been watching TN's for months now, and this is the best I've seen. Sooooo Cool!!! I love love love this. Off to spotlight to see if I can get all the stuff to try this. I think the only thing I cant get here in Oz is the faux leather, but I'm going to try. Thank you so much for sharing this. Its FAB. Actually, I cant sew but maybe I can get someone to do that part for me!!! But I did see that you dont necessarily have to sew, so that would be best for me. xx

    I just " ordered " - different colours of faux leather at aliexpress for 2.89 euros a piece on 30 cm x 20 cm measurement, I dunno if it's cheap or expensive, but I'm gonna make some of these, for personal use! Although, I already have some with the "foam" going on, but it's fun making these ... and, I'm "happy" to have encountered your video about this, 'coz it's really very helpful!!! Thanks for showing ... greetings from Belgium, here ...

    Love this idea! I just started to make a TN yesterday. Using a file folder and pieces of scrapbook paper. Love this idea of the faux leather. I wonder if you could omit the spine piece? Then you wouldn't have to worry about it cracking around it. Or would the spine be.too flimsy without it? I was going to subscribe to your channel...but it looks like you haven't done anything in about a year. Would love to see more of your videos as you show and explain things very well!! Thank you! 💟 Suzy

    • @larhesajamiel

      rain s Hi. Thanks for stopping by. I actually prefer the TN to dry naturally because it dries evenly this way. I only used a heating gun in the video just to speed up the process so I could finish the tutorial in a day.

    I have made three of these, each seems to change size as I go! My last one....The paper (under the mod podge and at edge of spine) cracked badly after I started using it...How can I avoid this? Did that spine cause that or was it something else? I used two rather thick coats of mod podge and was very careful to make it smooth, I sewed it all around and it looked awesome! What did I do wrong? Please help? Is it required to have that spine piece??

    • @thereeseboutique2261
      @thereeseboutique2261  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Patricia Miller Hi. I noticed that if I don't allow enough drying time before creasing the spine, it causes cracks.

    I want to use fabric instead of paper and have the pleather as the outside of the notebook, would it work the same, or is there a step i.e. mod podge that would need to be changed?

    • @bonniej3918
      @bonniej3918 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      ... nothing different... Exactly the same... Just switch them around or just use one instead of both. ... however, if you use pleather on both sides then you don't need the modge podge on the pleather. ( pleather doesn't need Modge Podge on it, in reality neither does the paper... It's only done for the texture and for extra strength and "waterproofing" if you like that look" it's totally your choice to decide if you want to use Mod Podge or not
