Oh how I am loving the fall, winter and holiday paintings, this one especially, NC state bird. Do you normally use a canvas, is canvas boards usually artist approved.

I watched you brush out your background and the only pathetic thing about it is I have brain freeze trying to mimic the strokes. Feeling really stupid not being able to do something so easy. I don't know why. I just wander aimlessly back and forth trying to get the same effect til it turns to mud !?
I had such high hopes for this but now what little confidence I had went crashing into a brick wall !
I know writers get writers block but do painters get painters block ?
Try using less paint, it can be easier when beginning 😊 don’t worry, it just takes practice and you’ll get the hang of it 🎨👍
And to answer your question, yes painters absolutely get painters bock! I don’t very often, I have the opposite issue, overwhelmed by too many ideas and can’t decide which one to choose so sometimes I just don’t paint anything 🤣

I think maybe it's this stupid rock. I had to do my morning heart walk so I went to dollar general and picked up another bottle of black paint and a two pack of 5 × 7 canvases. I'm gonna find out if it is the rock or really me !

I learned that all red cardinals are boys, and the grey ones are girls. I had no idea!
