Truly hope Dharavi redevelopment goes smoothly and fairly for all stakeholders involved. It will take at least a decade to complete imo. It will make or break Mumbai as the defacto richest financial mega city of India with the highest purchasing power in India. Dharavi redevelopment is extremely important for India as a whole, the process if successful will be learned from and replicated as a blueprint throughout all of India's major underdeveloped areas. The world can then see India in different perspective other than the scenes of Dharavi from Slumdog Millionaire. Redevelopment team should take some notes from Hong Kong's kawloon redevelopment project too. It changed the face of HK.

As a local from Port Blair, I reject name Vijay Puram 😠. Amit Shah first rename Ahmadabad as Fafda Puram and then think of changing name of other cities. Changing name from Port Blair to Vijay Puram is not received well by the people of Andaman.

Those whose houses r demolished r getting high quality flats at same location . Those poor who come to Mumbai will be settled out of core city area they can form chawl and slum there and connectivity to core of city already strengthened.
