I think he meant more of kirito being fully customizable rather than genderswapping pre existing characters. Like how kirito can be made into a girl in the previous sao games if you choose to.
I don't think they'll have fully custom characters but I do hope they'll add variants to characters, for example a 1 handed sword Kirito or ALO Kirito with flight and magic

First off, I want to say that I feel like you should get some serious feedback instead of people poking fun at you. I'll be breaking down your points and offering a second opinion on them were possible. Firstly, I'll start with the character customization for the game. It's broken into two parts, with the first part being the character you play, and the second one being the outfits for your character. Gender swapping or size alteration for the characters would only work with a CAC (Create A Character), not pre-defined characters with pre-defined weapon types. As for flight itself, it's already incredibly powerful and will serve as one of the main methods of pushing objectives quickly due to traversing the rivers and mountains much faster then other characters. As a result, while it might be nice to have a CAC, it is very unlikely to occur because that's just not the design of the game. Secondly, the gear system is designed around the 4 pieces of gear in the game. Each gear piece can roll different attributes, which roughly breaks them into 3 categories, those being offensive, defensive and support items. Yea, the skill system could be better then praying to RNG, but you get so many drops that it'll offset this. Furthermore, most of your character power is going to be locked behind legendry skills and item levels, so those concerns would only be valid for a person trying to min-max their character power anyways, not a valid concern for someone playing casually. So it's a non-issue for 90% of players, with the other 10% playing enough to offset this issue with drop quantity. There is cross-play. Not going to touch on the AI stuff, because that isn't something that can be handled all that well, regardless of the game you play. For PvP, I'll preface this by saying that I enjoy PvP in games, and I have played both PvP in WoW and The Divison 2. That being said, a game like this would absolutely suffer from PvP and not benefit from it as it stands right now. Elemental type damage is only PvE focused, and any long range character (Like Sinon) would 1-tap people from a mile away. Not to mention the infinite i-frames people would get with doing a dash. A 20-man pvp free for all would be the absolute worse, since it'd be a complete nightmare of ranged characters doing sniping duels because of how weak melee would be in comparison. In the beta, Sinon's headshots did more damage then Agil had health for at level 1, so imagine pvp with that in mind. Overall, I'd say that you have some decent ideas in some places, but your "Biggest Hopes" for the game make me believe you never played the open beta. Either that, or you only played at a casual level and didn't test anything outside of a few matches. If you did, you'd have likely already discovered how strong some characters could be with the right set-ups, with or without a good team to play with. Anyways, my advice is to not take 7 minutes for a single point, and make your points more condensed and organized instead of ramblings on and on.
He mentioned the use of different weapons, if it's not a thing on release, hopefully it'll become a thing in the future I feel like accel world vs sao did this best, because every Sao character was able to switch weapons

They feel like you’re asking for cereal from a steak restaurant. While I can understand where they’re coming from, they handle it in the worst way imaginable by trash talking instead of simply explaining their disagreement. I think it’s due in part to a lot of the reason for people watching these types of videos in the first place being to hear their own wants for the game echoed in hopes they can not only feel reaffirmed in them, but have them broadcasted so they’re more likely to receive attention. So because they disagree with what you want for the game, they feel like their own wants aren’t as valid and that you’re pushing ideas for the game they don’t want. Thus, the emotional comments. Hope that can help put their potential mindset into perspective a bit more.
I feel like character custimization, or more specifically kirito custimization wont happen in this game, but them releasing other versions of kirito and other characters could happen. This is definitely a character focused game where different characters do different things and i think theyll lean into that more than anything else. I can see ALO kirito being its own character or things like that

Like some of the other comments have said, this video seems like you have missed the main point of the game or made the video out of satire, at least the first half, but let's talk a bit about it. Sadly, I did miss out on the network test, and I am speaking purely off my own opinion and footage consumed from the network test. While I agree every SAO game should have a CAC, I just don't think it makes sense for there to be one for FD ngl since it's a live service game, and they likely will be keeping up with balance patches. However, being able to pick between a characters kit/variation would be amazing IE: SAO/ALO/GGO/Underworld versions of everyone who appeared in those worlds, maybe not Underworld for all of them, but it could still be fun to pick between standard SAO Kirito and standard ALO Kirito with his wings and the great sword or GGO Sinon and ALO Sinon ect. As for all the other points in the towards to a customizable Kirito yes those are good options that all SAO games should have to an extent, but again those just don't make much sense in an online focused raid style game like FD outside the story mode exclusively. The game is Crossplay from what I've seen from some network test footage. I do think that there will be some extent of skill leveling or mastery and the closer to FB the better, but I don't think it's going to be as in depth as you are hoping or expecting where it's like a progression type thing. Fully agree with the OS map type and vibes, the more map types and settings they can add the better. PVP is whatever imo, would be cool, but I don't see it happening here unless they do some funky stuff in the story mode and unlocking characters Ultimately it depends on how deep they go into the story mode, I could see them giving an option for a CAC in story mode only and/or expanding upon letting us change up Kirito in the story if they flesh it out enough but just based on what they have shared with us so far I highly doubt they will give any of that since it more or less seems like a means to an end to unlocking characters which I hope they delve more into it than just that.
as far as i remember the DIMPs style sao games never had chr customization it was always the hollow series that gave us kirito customization. that being said, i think that's why a lot of us enjoyed FB so much, we got to make OUR character. sadly at the end of the day i doubt we will be able to customize our characters outside of the outfits and accessories, unless we get a surprise custom character down the road! I've been saying this for awhile now, but FD is like fatal bullet lite. i think we are gonna be, both online and offline, locked to the skills and weapons we saw here in the beta. I think if they give us character creation it would be cool that we could use every weapon type by just switching what weapons we equip. I also think that if we had this games level of coop in fatal bullet it wouldve done a lot better since it is cross play. I think bandai put too much pressure on DIMPs to focus on the multiplayer aspect of FD tbh. I hope the story of FD arcs into bringing the gameverse back to life since FD is suppose to be the main cannon universe. if it does hopefully this is just a bridged game that brings back the chance for fatal bullet 2 in the future, and that the consequences of what happen in this game carry on to future SAO games. we are in a unique position here where there wasnt going to be any future SAO games since the gameverse officially ended in "Last Recollection". but we somehow got SAO returning with Fractured Daydream.... so my only hope is that the story mode introduces a way for more SAO games to be developed and dimps getting exclusive control of them. I never enjoyed the gameplay of the hollow series games but the dimps style games (lost song accel world vs etc) were always super fun! im actually replaying FB right now waiting on FD to release lol anyways wall of text over, looking forward to seeing your thoughts on FD on release! I hope they nerf some rouges and buff kirito he felt so stiff even the “combos” felt like that. Hoping we get every character variant and let us color our characters hair etc when we get certain drops. Also dimps punishing people for leaving after character select. Personally, the customizable options your asking for are a bit.. unnecessary to the game. Sure it would be ok to have I guess but ultimately this game is supposed to step away from that sort of stuff. I really appreciate the diversity of the cast and all of they're unique quirks. To have a customizable character would defeat the purpose of that. Also PvP would be unfair for most considering some players would have paid characters who are likely going to power creep the main cast. In a game with this much diversity there will never be balance and that would only issue more frustrations among the player base. However the take I agree with is leveling up your abilities like in Fatal Bullet. It would be nice to have several different abilities to choose from and level them up based around your playstyle. And if there's any silver lining, DLC characters probably aren't limited to one character exactly. Meaning we could have several versions of Kirito in the game. I asked myself why Asuna never had an option for her Alfheim variation (the Blue Hair version, which is my favorite version of her.) It would be strange to have all these characters from all these game titles but miss versions of characters that are in the game already that was also in those previous titles.
