Mary Queen of Tots - Child actress Mary Kornman was Hal Roach's silent-era Our Gang equivalent of the sound-era's Darla Hood. She was a child actress in 48 Our Gang/Little Rascals comedies between 1922 and 1926. (Compare Darla's total Our Gang appearances: 49.) The two-reeler "Mary, Queen of Tots"-originally released on August 23, 1925-is a Mary Kornman showcase. She plays a poor little rich girl with all the genuine, care & expressive emotion for which she was renowned. The Our Gang lads are Mickey Daniels, Joe Cobb, Allen "Farina" Hoskins, and Jackie Condon,.this film features all the children in an unusual fantasy sequence in which the boy dolls come to life plus fun scenes of the real boys exploring Mary's mansion, Note" Farina" in an early role for him having a time with a hat, Mary wants to kiss him, and his friends water tricks!!! :)
