NEW CAMERA WHO DIS?! haha. Shot this one on the Sony a7IV in slog3! My first time shooting and editing slog3 and it was super fun! What do you guys think? How do the colors look? Anyway we're stoked on it and we've updated our gear list in the description if you want to know everything we're shooting on these days. Let us know if you have any questions :) Also... Like and Subscribe? :D ha thanks!
Tava! I was going to invite you man but figured it'd be a drag spending 4 hours climbing / shooting for crap snow 😅 hope you make it back when the snows good!
Love the footage, great colors, great angles, like sugar for my eyes on the 12.9 inch iPad Pro - same aspect ratio, love it. And the landscape, the views, oh my god.
This is incredible. Love the colors, especially at 2:44. Love split boarding. I feel your pain trying to go sideways on icy snow. Y’all are going to blow up, the quality of the last few videos is top notch! I like the Tetons one with narrating and I also like this style a lot as well.
Thanks for sharing, your trademark vibe comes through. I really like the soft focus over the shoulder shot (is that Emerald Bay in the lower right?) around the 3:30 mark. It feels fresh and engaging. Keep up the great work
I’m impressed with how clean your windshield is ha ha! if you want to talk about throwing away footage, ask me how many times I’ve made that mistake. Looks like a truly awesome day you had!
This was so beautifully done. The footage looks so good! It makes me happy to see really well graded shots that are also not all slow motion. I loved this even without the audio.
You 2 are awesome, one of the highest quality outdoor rec channels I’ve seen! Props to your amazing creativity and still coming up with a dope way to save the footage! This was so relaxing :)
These shots look dope even for someone who’s partially color blind 🤟🔥 I really have been dreading editing lately but after watching this, I’m gonna open up the MacBook and let er rip for an upload later this month. Thanks guys!
There's a reason I won't switch to Sony cameras yet. I've just heard of way to many people having mic jack issues with their A7 series cameras. I still love my trusty Panasonic cameras. They might not have the best autofocus, but they do have awesome 10 bit color and are always reliable.
@@codyandvictoria Keep us informed! I definitely want to know your full opinion on the camera at some point. Love your channel, it is probably the biggest inspiration for our own channel.
ooohh! We might actually! Maybe a little later this morning/early afternoon. We want to check out the groove terrain park now that it's open but if you catch us up there we'd be happy to get a lap or two!
Let’s have a moment of silence for Jake Smith, a fine young man working at Alpine Meadows on March 31, 1982. One of the employees taken by the massive avalanche that day. Living at the top of Alpine Meadows road for a few years, I loved the beauty and wild nature the valley and surrounding mountains held. Many folks don’t know the Emerald Bay mountaintops is named for Jake.
That was about 39 years ago, so unless you had family or friends that lived around the north shore or spent time at Alpine or Squaw back then, it would be a forgotten memory. Jake was my roommates younger brother. I still ski Alpine, Squaw, and now Mammoth frequently (after jetting cross country). Western skiing is best! I enjoyed your episode and will look over your episodes and watch more! Thanks, Tom

Great upgrade from A73! I have the A7iv too… it’s a dream of a camera and I welcome that new flip screen. Keep on adventuring brother
@@LuisMarquez80 I am about to buy one. What lens do y'all use?
This video is an example of your creativity. This was meant to be thrown away but you made it into a masterpiece. Keep it up 🙌🏽
thank you for not scrapping this video, worth every single second of footage
This short video is one of my favorite. I am impressed by how you make it easy to go up with the skis and down with the snowboard!
Loved it. Even liked the clip of Victoria talking without audio. Felt special.
Now that was awesome. The best example of how to spend some time, with the right gear.
Thanks for checking it out 😊
Snowboarding next to the lake 🤩🙌🏻😍 smoothly & peaceful... 🍀🙏🏻
Love the old school vibe with the silent film and 4:3 ratio.
Figured I had no audio... Might as well go old school haha
That's so awesome that the skis turned into a snowboard
Splitboards are the best invention
Rad! Glad you guys still ended up uploading, great watch.
🙏
The feels of this video is amazing!
Love Jakes! and a super cool handheld drone shot concept at 0:25 sorry about the audio 😔

@@codyandvictoria ayy no worries! always another time
That is so devastating!! Still an unreal video ;) Looks like quality conditions out there.. where are you winterrrrr????
Winter said "brb. I'm going on a date with the sun." 😅
Glad you didn't waste the footage, colors looking good!

such great storytelling without words! loved it!
Omg, Cross country skis to snowboard…i never knew! Great video!
Love it!!! Beautiful footage! Glad yall didn't throw it away. Once in awhile, non-commentary videos is what you need to get through the week. :D
So happy to wake up to this!!
😊😊😊😊
Never heard of splitboarding until today. Looks SO cool!!
Its kinda cooooolll 😎
@@codyandvictoria is this just the same as langlaufen?
Well that was rather beautiful!
Yey! Another adventure! Love the opening.
Man, the 4:3 is so good!
Gotta switch it up from time to time 😝

Don’t know what it is exactly about that shot but I paused there while I was watching it as well. Such a simple but beautiful shot
I really enjoyed this! Very meditative!
Lovely video. Great seeing y’all enjoy the mountains I’ve grown up with. We live in an amazing place!
I like how you both do the filming so you both end up in the video.
It works great!
Kinda like this format and style better, short and sweet, beautiful images with peaceful music
🙏🙏 I'm sure there will be more sometimes.
The old school aspect ratio fits iPad Air perfectly, giving my eyes so much relief. Beautiful video👍!
Haha good to know!

1:23 the struggle tho 😭🤣
One word “THERAPEUTIC”
Just got back from Tahoe and took a cruise to emerald bay. Looking up at those peaks I figured people would hike up and ski down. That is so sick!
Such a good line up there!
Amazing !!!
Beautiful film! Really great job saving this project!
Silent adventure 🤩
Haha. Better than no adventure I guess 😝
beautiful video as always
Glad you didn’t throw away the footage!! This is gorgeous!
Thanks Trafton!
Thanks for the great wake up video this morning to get me ready to ride!
We're gonna go ride today too! Stoked!
Absolutely beautiful! That new camera is amazing! Looks like another great day enjoying the outdoors. Happy trails...
I never knew they made skis that turn into snowboards. That’s gamechanging!
Splitboards baby! Amazing invention haha
I’m always looking forward to new videos. Such great quality. Happy New Year to you both ♥️

I’m jealous of your back yard
I'll admit ... It's kind of nice 😎
You have inspired me to get off my Nordic skis and try the splits!
So nice …
Glad you still decided to upload the footage 🤙🏽
Had to get a video out there!
Sometimes on TH-cam we just need a calm and relaxing video. Great thing you didn't toss this footage because it was perfect.
Preciate you!! Glad it still worked out

Yeah I think it was more user error. Possibly our mic got bumped and wasn't plugged in full.

Bravo 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I like the 4:3 aspect ratio 👍
Looks so fun. Getting a split board seems expensive
Cheaper than skis 🤷♂️
I would watching this again even if it was an hour long, perfect 😮💨😌
Noted ✔️
I hate when the audio gets ruined, but you did a great job of turning it around and still making a great video!
Wow
Do you ever bring your gimbal on snowboard trips
Only if I’m being paid
I just want to know how long did it take you guys to get up there ?
Couple hours. It's not so long if you're not making a video 😅
What camera do you guys use on your hikes?
Nvm you guys posted the model of the cam. Great footage
Bummer about the audio, but still a beautiful video. Thanks for sharing!
Hopefully we figure it out 🤞🏼
Kraig Adams vibes
Great video and music choice!! How long did it take you to get up to the peak?
It takes us a lot longer because we're filming. But maybe 1.5 hours or so if you're not filming.
Filmed 4:3? What’s up with the aspect ratio on this, still loved that video I’m just curious. Always I gotta teach my girl to film like this haha 🤙🏽
4:3 because I wanted to make it 4:3. 🤷♂️
This also looks like the aspect ratio is different than usual. Can someone help me understand? Looks like 1.33.1
Hey guys ! January 9th 2022, wasn't it super snowy in Tahoe ? 🤔😇
Well about as snowy as you see in the video.......

Oh wow. Im surprised nobody around town has ever mentioned this to us before. What a tragic incident. Here's to Jake 🍻 one of our favorite peaks

The white tree at 1:40 scared me 😂 It looks like a woman with a white dress on looking straight at the camera.
Fun activity, but music is sad
I like making silent videos than showing and telling.
Another stellar vid. Well done guys, loving the look and feel even more so
