    Loved the Emerald Bay sunrise! Great skiing as usual. Amazing footage of wet slide in progress. Glad everyone practices safe back country skiing. Love the birds! Look forward to more bird footage.

    Awesome sunrise! As you say, what views! As a non skier (subtropical Australia, never snows) I’m enjoying watching your major snow experiences. Keep safe!

    Hello Brie! So nice to meet you! I love the area you're in, so beautiful! Enjoyed seeing your fine feathered friend landing in your hand. So precious! The 3 of you all together on the summit with the lake behind you made for a picture perfect Kodak moment. A breathtakingly beautiful background. Loved seeing the sunrise! Thank you so much for sharing! Skiing looks so graceful, relaxing, fun, & a little scary. Glad you're all are okay.

    Snow slides are scary no matter what. Brie was smart to sort of scoot off to the side and get behind the tree and let the slide mostly go by to her right. Glad you had disclaimer at beginning you were all prepared for such a thing.

      Yes she did a great job. Thanks about disclaimer-

      Hey Margaret, Thanks for your comment. You bring up great points. At the top we were comfortable with how the snow was feeling, sounding, and looking but then obviously things changed. On reflection we all agreed that we should have been spaced out and stopping at safe points, which we did after the wet slide happened. It is hard to capture or sometimes convey how dangerous it can be traveling in avalanche terrain but we do not take it lightly so thanks again for your comment.

    So what to do on wet slide?

    • @tahoemountainlife
      @tahoemountainlife  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not an avalanche expert or making any advice but what we were taught is to try and get out of the slide and into a safe zone

    Part of the glaciation process in point of fact.
