While not Popular the Jiffy Torch with its Ripper blade does well in Dirty Ice and the Blade can be sharpened at home with a belt sander. It is very hard on batteries though.
I have tried the k-drill a clam plate with eskimo 8" pistol both using a dewalt and just not satisfied drilling over 6" of ice so I'm saving for a eskimo E-40 I'm going to try one
I wonder if there’s a problem with your drill? I’ve been use my kdrill I believe for over 5 years now. I recently switched to a new Dwalt since I was having issues with my Milwaukee. But either way I cut though ice quite easily. Just returned from Winnipeg and 20” ice was no problem. Are they as fast as the new 40v systems? No but still effective and lighter.
I love my new Ion. I fish every day around the Bemidji area, and a battery lasts about a month. It's incredible!
I have the Strikemaster 40v Lite, with the composite drill. I like it.
E40 poly is bad ass!
I love mine so far
