The "weigela" looks more like a "deutzia"? I think the weigela has more of a tubular flower? And the deutzia is more fluffy looking? I have two deutzias in pots and I haven't dug out the rocks to plant them yet. I am just learning about shrubs. My garden is at a forest edge in British Columbia. I loved your garden. Thanks for the tour.

You could be right, it was here when I moved here 13yrs ago. I only identified it through the leaves ☺️

I grow native Iris , we call it stink Iris here , because the flower's smell bad . But l love it for the red berries in winter.
