My tint is about the same, a cop clocked it at 32%. My windshield is about the same which is a no-no in GA. The limit is 24%. I was going to put off changing the windshield tint until I got a massive crack, so I’ll kill two birds with one stone and keep Johnny Law off my tail. Your tint looks very nice. Windshield looks legal. Thanks for the video brother! 🤙🏻
Nice video, i have a question for you mate, at factory pipe the connection between turbo and pipe is in lower position but in this pipe is up and you changed the sensor, do you think that affect positive the performance?
Older video at this point I know, but at any point did you add small clamps to the smaller hose connection where the piece where the plug goes between the intake hose and the valve cover?
120506torque hello, thanks for watching, it’s a performance tune in general, it’s not 100% necessary, but if you want the full potential out of it after performance mods, it’s highly recommended just so everything works to its highest potential and gives you reliable power, there’s lots of companies out there that provide tunes, I just don’t have any specific ones to recommend unfortunately
I always recommend a stage 2 with all the right bolt on parts I would recommend doing all the silicone hoses hi flow catalytic converter with a aftermarket exhaust because when you put it in sport mode it sounds like a burple tune/2 step a aftermarket radiator and intercooler so you don't get heat soaked do your research watch more videos like this gentleman's after that you should be ready for a tune I wish you the best luck I have R56 myself love it
The bov made a bigger sound difference then this did to be honest, This would make more noise with some sort of aluminum piping, or an actual cold air intake kit that has the icebox, the rubber piping does quiet it down, louder than factory, but still a softer sound and it would be with a different material
Mirinmaru I definitely agree, BUT if you look up mini cold air intakes for this model, that’s where aftermarket companies route them as well, they just have a heat shield that goes over the filter, I was going to build one as well, but ended up selling the car before I had a chance to do so, on these specific minis, the exhaust manifold + turbo plus most other parts that create heat are all at the front on the other side of the engine, so even though there is heat, it’s much cooler back there, plus there’s a pipe that pulls in cold air intake front the front grill right into the filter area in the back
@@ROADNOISEMEDIA I'm thinking of putting my air intake where that initial intake on the left hand side is and skip the rear airbox completely. What do you think about that? I want to de-clutter my engine bay as I have a Peugeot 3008 with the same exact engine as the mini. It is really cramped in there
@@ROADNOISEMEDIA it should be applicable to a Mini too. Instead of routing the air from the bumper, back behind the engine and the to the turbocharger you just go from the bumper to the turbo gonna try it
Hello, unfortunately with the base models, trying to get power is a waste of money, it would cost you less to sell it and get the S model, but if that’s not an option, I would say get an exhaust, intake, and do some weight reduction, should be super fun to drive after that
Sorry mate but this is a downgrade, you could have just changed the paper filter in your original COLD air intake for an igm proair foam filter for £50 instead of installing a cheap filter which will suck in hot air 😅
Bro! Live this. So hard to find budget builders with Minis.
Tint looks good!
That intake looks awesome installed
I have a white base model 2010 that red S w the black accents looks very sharp 🔥
Yeah really nice rumble! 🔊🔊
Missed the only part of the video that i needed!
How's hot engine compartment air vs a ducted intake from the grille area allow for a "cold" air intake?

Thank you!!! Doing this myself
what size is the elbow? and whats the id of the filter cone? thanks
What is the dimensions of the ram air intake that you made the stainless steel tube

hot air intake:)
It was mainly for the sound haha
That's what it is.
I see you’re back with another clean video! Dope bro keep it up
Older video at this point I know, but at any point did you add small clamps to the smaller hose connection where the piece where the plug goes between the intake hose and the valve cover?
Hello, yes I did
Thanks for the quick reply. Putting that same silicone hose on tonight.
Awesome! :) I’ve had a few guys tell me the little piece doesn’t really need clamps, but I did it anyways for extra precaution
I cant find an intake for my minie one d 2013 pls someone help
What’s the size of the 90 elbow tube
Nice video I'm new to this I just bought the forge intake hose u said something about tuning it what kind of tune u need for this

@@ROADNOISEMEDIA ok thanks ur cooper is clean looking

Is this worth doing? I’m considering this but is it worth it? Honest question.
Power gains won’t happen unless you get a tune as well, I did it mainly for the sound to be honest, so depends what you’re looking to achieve
That’s the same thing I want. That’s why I wanted to know if it’s worth the investment

Where can I get that t section ? Do you have a link for it on eBay? I’m from the uk?
Kieron Jennings sorry I don’t have a link anymore, but I did find it on eBay
Did you do an exhaust job in here too? And is this cooper automatic or man
VLQS hello, I did not do any exhaust work to it, it was a factory exhaust, it was a 6 speed manual transmission
Where in Oregon bro. I’m in a 08 r56. I’m in Portland
I was in tri cities wa
This is arguably a less cold intake than stock since you're sucking air from the engine bay

Mirinmaru I’ll be honest, I’ve never even seen a Peugeot in person so I really can’t answer that

Hot air intake
What year is your cAr?
Best Vision it was a 2007
Do you still have it ?
No it’s been sold
I have a mini ‘10 base , I need more power.
