Dear engineer, I have seen horizontal cracks in several residential buildings, especially in brick/plaster balcony parapets, below parapets and in the level between ground and first floor (exterior). I have also seen horizontal cracks maybe 1 foot from ground in perimeter walls that run all the way across, especially with trees planted near them. Please throw light on those too.

Hello bro. Cracks between column-wall or slab-wall happen mainly due to the vibration caused in these structures while transferring load. Another reason could be the use of bad mortar ratio. In order to prevent this problem, you should use chicken mesh on the joints between column-wall and beam-wall.
On ground floor column is 9×9 inches but above gorund floor i.e, on 1 st floor column is 9 × 12 inches what happens in this case.

Agar 2 flat k beech me nayi diwar as a partition wall dali ho hall me aur usme dono flats ki taraf jitni nayi diwar hai wo border pe ( except ground) 1mm ka crack ho to wo normal repair se thik ho sakta hai? Ya nayi diwar banane ki jarurat hai?

Sir, there are cracks between brick walls and concrete columns of my newly constructed building. Is it normal ?
Yes it might fall down, better contact your builder immediately and raise hell... because if you dont they will not fix it.. You need to reinforce the columns with 2x6 instead of 2x4s and install HTT4s to attached to the columns. if its not done correctly you will have problems.
सर हमने जमिन के निचे के कालम जो पांच फिट निचे थे ऊसपर तिन दिन पाणी डाला और मिट्टी से गड्डा भरदिये ऊसपर और बिस दिन पाणी डाला लेकीन पांच फिट जमिन मे था कालम तो सिफॆ तिन फिट तक गिल्ला हूआ ऊसके पासकी मिट्टी भि तिन फिट तक गिल्ली हूई तो क्या निचे रहा दोफिट हिस्सा जिसको पाणी नही मिला कमजोर होगा
