      I guess that means that at some point after meeting the 13th doctor, Captain Jack met with the 10th doctor again. Both The Doctor and Captain Jack knew each other’s past and futures. Kinda makes him like River Song in a way.

      Yeah I didn’t quite realise that either tbh ahah, it’s implied he was mainly referring to the master because his final words and great secret to the doctor that he had been holding in his mind for billions of years so much so that it became legend spells out Y.A.N.A. The name of the masters human form. I would like to imagine that he is also saying that too, I also like to think that Boe could predict the future or at least see through time because he knew when he would next meet the doctor it would be his last time xx

      It's not been "in your face" stated, but pretty much confirmed.
      Captain Jack did explain how he was the first from the Bohemian Peninsula to be scouted for the Time Agency; "The face of Boe they called me". Also, if you want to know how he's only a head: Apparently Jack was supposed to be present at Demon's Run, together with the 11th, and being killed by the Headless Monks. He wasn't present because the actor couldn't make it due to other responsibilities at the time, so they cut that scene.

    • @TheWhovinerd-1963
      @TheWhovinerd-1963 3 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      @@GhalanSmokeScale it’s heavily hinted as even as Jack is telling the doctor and Martha about his past they play the face of boe’s theme in the background. Jack would have appeared in a good man goes to war but he John Barrowman couldn’t due to filming issues, I also find Jack becoming the face of boe by having his head cut off as a silly way of doing it because he has survived far worse in the show torchwood in one episode he grows back from literally nothing and I think if his head was cut off he would either simply grow it back or grow the rest of his body back. My head canon theory is that Jack evolved to the point where he no longer needed a body to do anything I also think he was the first and last of his kind outliving all of his family as we are told the face of boe has had children xx

      @@idkwhattosaysamehere5155 I don’t think he did, “The end of time” showed the time lords as a threat to time itself and throughout classic who the time lords have been declared a dangerous threat not to mention what would have occurred during the time war(I’m only using Russell T Davies episodes and not Moffat episodes as they diverged on how the overarching lore would be, moffat becoming head writer starting with 11). Based on the context of Davies episode and before any timelord is a threat, such as when the time lords forcibly separated the 2nd doctor and Jamie McCrimmon and erased his memories of the doctor while the doctor was forcibly regenerated(2nd to 3rd) and exiled on earth with the tardis being rendered immobile. This extensive power would indicate that any timelord was dangerous. At the time the 10th doctor thought he had destroyed Gallifrey so hearing that there was another timelord there also meant the possibility that Gallifrey wasn’t as destroyed as previously thought and that gave the potential of the time war starting back up. If anything the Master was the least dangerous threat, the doctor knows the master, knows how they tick but a random timelord, well that’s unknown, a powerful being that the doctor doesn’t know how they tick, their motives, or if they want revenge. Or it could have been another timelord enemy of the doctor like Omega who was trapped in the anti-matter universe and thus wouldn’t be effected by the time war and during the episode “arc of infinity” Omega tried to reform a physical body using the 5th doctors bio data and was partially successful however the doctor stopped them, they were kept trapped in the anti-matter reality due to the time lords but was an enemy to the doctor (they had other fights in the past starting with “The three doctors” special but “arc of infinity” gave a way back to the main universe). There’s also Rassilon which I won’t spend forever on but this quote from tardis wiki explains a lot of their personality “However, some Time Lords contended that Rassilon was a corrupt megalomaniac who tried to murder their friend Omega and stole their invention.” Rassilon would become a threat to the doctor in “the end of time” however past experiences showed Rassilon not to be great with him directly manipulating the doctors timeline and creating the matrix to keep his mind active and control Gallifrey from beyond the grave, that kind of manipulation would be a scary threat to the doctor considering the actions Rassilon took did not care for fixed points or limited interaction with time. The threat of any timelord out there is scary because we saw what the time war did to the peace loving doctor, imagine what it did to someone with looser morals.

      but there is also the second meaning that I don't think the doctor realised until the 11th doctor at the latest, that no matter how far he goes, no matter how long he's gone for there will always be someone waiting for him or someone traveling with him, he will never be alone even if it feels like he is for a moment. Which is nice when we learn its Jack that is Boe, since it implies as Jack continued to live he always kept and eye out for the doctor and probably tried to learn every legend and every adventure from before they met to after even if he though he would never see the doctor again.

Boe was one of the most memorable characters in Doctor who, whom only appeared 3 times but each scene he was in he made so iconic and I love his character still to this day, my favourite Doctor who figure I own is my face of boe figure xx

The doctor in actual time might not even last billions of yrs. Meaning bo would be the last living companion of the doctor. Or it also could just be in reference to the tenant companions if the doctor somehow last so long or longer then Bo.
