The ONLY way I can see this going forward is if they tell the story of the re-formation of the unions in the Post-Xehanort world. Having people be able to participate in both the Union X unions & the new Unions that would form would be thematically consistent and would be pretty sick. Almost Monster Hunter-esque, by going to fight large raid bosses at the end of dungeons. Like 100 players ganging up on a massive heartless like .hack or Sword Art Online would be incredible
Also there needs to be some reference to Atlantis the Lost Empire. I and others have been wanting a world based on that movie for a long time. It’s probably just a wish but it’s one I hope comes true.

I think I heard they may focus on using worlds based on 3D animated Disney movies which means the probability of my theory of the Master of Masters being an Atlantean being proven or disproven diminishes. It makes sense in my mind because in the movie Atlantis is shown to have had very advanced technology powered by a central crystal and the keyblades could be considered a form of lost advanced, ancient technology. Also we would get the amazing Crystal Chamber song in a video game.
Oh, I would absolutely be down for that, if only to make my own Keyblade wielder. That's just something I've always wanted. And I think Disney has always wanted to break into the MMO scene, but most of their attempts have fallen flat. So I think a collaborative project like a KH MMO could be just what they've been looking for.

Sure Yoshi P has been handling FFXIV and also directing FFXVI, but like, that's still a really full plate. Maybe after VIIR is completed he could cover whatever the next KH game is at the time and a KH MMO. Either way tho, I'd absolutely be playing.
I will however point out that due to the nature of mmo’s and stuff that they would need to make concessions for the multiplayer systems and I think we’d kind of end up with a slightly watered down version of kh combat that might be janky however I do think a retooled command deck system would work great for an mmo type game This is also because kh is really a one class system where sora/whoever is the pc has a complete kit if we used a deck or skill system maybe even classes we could see more diversity
I dont think designing the game to be compatible with multiplayer would water down the combat. With that in mind you design enemy patterns and ai to compensate. The boss' are made to be fought either way and if you're fighting in a party of one it loads up one version of the fight and if you're fighting together with others it loads up a higher stat version.

Amazing video, this is what I've been wanting to happen ever since I touched union x! The story in the game is very interesting and good but the fact that it's a mobile gotcha game makes it off-putting to players who don't like those types of games. But if we had a console/PC MMO-RPG it would be spectacular! Just thinking about the possibilities makes me excited. And if they made a game like this they could possibly add DLC like the X saga or maybe even Master of Masters backstory, it's just an awesome idea to think about!

Hey there. A group of people on Dreams is making a remake of the original X called Re:X. It seems to be skipping the Disnwy Worlds though I do think they should go all out.. Do you want to make a video on it. I also do have some suggestions for the game that I would like for them to hear sometime. Including a way to include the card system and to ask the fans if they want the Disney worlds in the game.
@@KingdomAce Comrades was implemented really bad. Think about it like a Mirage Arena with more loading screens. Though I didn't play it much past launch so it might have improved. But if they took the premise of the below from Comrades and improved on the actual gameplay loop, I think it would be great. 1) create a character 2) share mission space with other characters 3) KH 2/3 combat Even something like Destiny with a hub area then an instanced gameplay world would be great for an Action RPG like KH4 or a spin off title.

You must have been pretty early on, while it does start slower, it evolves to be pretty intense as you level up and gain new skills for combos. All dependent on the class you decide of course
yah....... I dunno man... I'm just done with anything multiplayer. Holds no interest to me. I want a curated, single player story experience in my games. I DID however watch to the end out of respect for you. :D
@@KingdomAce Yeah, I finally got tired of waiting for a 3090 near msrp so I just bought a pre-built with one in it and a better processor. My one piece of advice, play the game on an oculus quest 2 via link cable. Max settings + vr screen is where it is at.
I Have Been Saying This for Years HAVE Union X Remade With Genshin style combat and And Have everything else Like Final Fantasy XIV this will be perfect think of all the Events would be Great. And even better if they Go with the Darker Vibe That Union x already has But Crank it Up by a thousand and Bring Back special events like The Kefka and Gilgamesh bosses. And the Writing can can be Cranked up to And think about custom parties and Huge Fucking Raid bosses
To be honest to me KH3 was a huge disappointment they took everything out that made KH2 so cool u couldn't even visit the worlds twice for a side story and the game was way to short
The MMO (if it indeed exists) needs to have a Dive to Heart where you customize your character.
Start with a Replica, end with a Player!
