But I also can tell you that we, as an amazonian/andean culture, have been taught from childbirth to love and respect all life, and that´s what most ecuadorians do. Even when some movies may depict us as savages, we are much more than that: we are a country of 17,8 million kind, warm and welcoming people. As I lay on my bed snuggled with my dog just watching the trailer is making me cry we really don’t deserve dogs. They go through hell on earth in some cases and still want to connect with a human being it’s astounding ❤ I will definitely be watching this

Me to I miss my dog so much he was a good boy and my other dog that me and my dad had he was the best dog we was at my grandpa and grandma and we came back to the house and he dug under the gate he was seating in the drive way for waiting for dad and I
My wife and I just went to see this today. Almost everyone in the theater with us, including us, had tears in our eyes several times throughout the movie. Some of us actually cheered when it was shown that Arthur had been able to recover from his injuries. On a side note, just as captivating and important as the story itself, is the role that Mark Wahlberg played in telling it. I can't think of any other actor who would have been a more perfect fit for this role than he.

I remember watching a documentary that mentioned this story. It's so incredible and inspiring. One of those tales where the journey isn't entirely about the destination, but the friends you meet along the way. In this case, it's the furry friends you meet along the way🐾🐶

Como dominicano me llama la atención que no hubieran pretendido que la película Arthur the King tomaba lugar en Ecuador, para mi como dominicano es más que un honor que mi país sirva como marco del escenario de esta gran historia que tomo lugar en Ecuador. Gracias a la política de incentivos al cine y el turismo, hemos sido escenario de muchos éxitos de Hollywood sin necesidad de tomar protagonismo en la historia, por citar algunas El Padrino 2, Rambo 2, Piratas del Caribe, El Parque Jurásico, Rápido y furioso, The Lost City, Old, entre muchas otras más. Es una película americana y es claro que enfatiza como Arthur ha sido ignorado toda su vida hasta que viene un Americano y lo rescata, nos deja un mensaje a los latinos para reflexionar no solamente desde el punto de vista humanista sino de cómo somos vistos en los ojos del mundo. Así como Ecuador es responsable de que este film no se realizará en su país debido a los costos impuestos por el gobierno y el tema de la seguridad, debo aceptar que ver un perro realengo caminar por las calles de nuestras calles también es algo común, más allá de los paisajes hermosos que compartimos los Caribeños y Centroamericanos, más bien tomemos lo que nos toca de esta historia, es imperativo que tomemos conciencia de esta realidad con los perritos que pasan tanta calamidad, yo estoy seguro que muchas personas de buen corazón en nuestros países estarían más que felices de hacerlos parte de ellos, es sólo cuestión de canalizar vías que permitan rescatar estos animalitos que nos traen tanta felicidad. Más que una razón de conflicto usemos esta historia para unirnos más como comunidad, para enfrentar tantos problemas comunes que compartimos los latinoamericanos.
I am amazed by the story of this little dog ...what a hero, but I am also excited that in the comments Ecuador is mentioned, we could have treated this buddy better but that didn't happen as most things in life, his story is a reminder to take care of the ones out there and live as they do with passion and happiness despite hardships

No entiendo. Soy Dominicana y no entiendo por qué hicieron eso. Han filmado muchas películas en mi país simulando otros países, incluyendo Cuba. Recientemente Road House ambientada como Florida, fue filmada en República Dominicana. Hubieran podido hacer lo mismo, filmar en RD pero ambientarla como Ecuador.

This is a film about loyalty, perseverance and companionship. Mark Wahlberg is exceptional. He's an actor who has mastered his craft. He is undoubtedly one of the best of his generation. It is a great film expertly directed by Simon Cellan Jones.

This looks nice and emotive as the true story was. I remember it very well since I saw this with my own eyes back in 2014. But, this DID NOT happen in the Dominican Republic, this story happened in Ecuador. Ok you don’t want (can’t) film this in Ecuador I understand, it’s complex. But at least tell the world where this actually happened and don’t lie so blatantly about it.
This trailer made me cry. I love dog movies and seeing them run with Arthur and him accept them as his pack was so heartwarming. I definitely want to see this movie!

I went last Friday to watch this movie with my daughter. It was amazing! I highly recommend, Mark made me laugh and cry and knowing that it was all based in a true story made the movie better. 😊

I watched it today. I'm not a fan of Wahburg but I LOVED IT !!! Amazing scenery, great characters and story and a strong underlying message. Really entertaining, I'd give it 9/10

Yes it will. Oh random of me, look up Finding Gobi by Dion Leonard. It's another real life story of a dog that follows this ultrarunner in China. Of course the runner got the dog. Gobi went to live with Dion in Scotland.
Just watched it in theaters. I don’t normally do reviews, but this movie is different. I would rate it 100/10 and it’s not a typo. If you have a soft heart for dogs, then this movie is definitely for you. I enjoyed every second of this movie and it’s one of those movies then I will rewatch over and over again

As a grown man now who has lived an amazing life in my 20s and suffered tradgically in my 30s even to the point of enduring 6 yrs of suicidal depression, although Jesus was my turning point he sent me the most beautiful Morkie dog named Chester. Doesnt look like any morkie out there but has the most perfect face you never get bored of no matter how many times or how long you see him. He got me through a lot of the dark days. This trailer more than caught my attention. I will have to watch it with my best friend chester 🐶

En esta historia, lo importante es el amor por las mascotas, el lugar de procedencia es lo de menos, lo q importa es que Arthur tuvo una segunda oportunidad, dejó un país en el que vivía en el abandono total y se fue a otro continente con una familia que le dio lo que en Ecuador no fuimos capaces de darle.

As I lay on my bed snuggled with my dog just watching the trailer is making me cry we really don’t deserve dogs. They go through hell on earth in some cases and still want to connect with a human being it’s astounding ❤ I will definitely be watching this

My wife and I just went to see this today. Almost everyone in the theater with us, including us, had tears in our eyes several times throughout the movie. Some of us actually cheered when it was shown that Arthur had been able to recover from his injuries.
On a side note, just as captivating and important as the story itself, is the role that Mark Wahlberg played in telling it. I can't think of any other actor who would have been a more perfect fit for this role than he.

Como dominicano me llama la atención que no hubieran pretendido que la película Arthur the King tomaba lugar en Ecuador, para mi como dominicano es más que un honor que mi país sirva como marco del escenario de esta gran historia que tomo lugar en Ecuador. Gracias a la política de incentivos al cine y el turismo, hemos sido escenario de muchos éxitos de Hollywood sin necesidad de tomar protagonismo en la historia, por citar algunas El Padrino 2, Rambo 2, Piratas del Caribe, El Parque Jurásico, Rápido y furioso, The Lost City, Old, entre muchas otras más. Es una película americana y es claro que enfatiza como Arthur ha sido ignorado toda su vida hasta que viene un Americano y lo rescata, nos deja un mensaje a los latinos para reflexionar no solamente desde el punto de vista humanista sino de cómo somos vistos en los ojos del mundo. Así como Ecuador es responsable de que este film no se realizará en su país debido a los costos impuestos por el gobierno y el tema de la seguridad, debo aceptar que ver un perro realengo caminar por las calles de nuestras calles también es algo común, más allá de los paisajes hermosos que compartimos los Caribeños y Centroamericanos, más bien tomemos lo que nos toca de esta historia, es imperativo que tomemos conciencia de esta realidad con los perritos que pasan tanta calamidad, yo estoy seguro que muchas personas de buen corazón en nuestros países estarían más que felices de hacerlos parte de ellos, es sólo cuestión de canalizar vías que permitan rescatar estos animalitos que nos traen tanta felicidad. Más que una razón de conflicto usemos esta historia para unirnos más como comunidad, para enfrentar tantos problemas comunes que compartimos los latinoamericanos.

I am amazed by the story of this little dog ...what a hero, but I am also excited that in the comments Ecuador is mentioned, we could have treated this buddy better but that didn't happen as most things in life, his story is a reminder to take care of the ones out there and live as they do with passion and happiness despite hardships

No entiendo. Soy Dominicana y no entiendo por qué hicieron eso. Han filmado muchas películas en mi país simulando otros países, incluyendo Cuba. Recientemente Road House ambientada como Florida, fue filmada en República Dominicana. Hubieran podido hacer lo mismo, filmar en RD pero ambientarla como Ecuador.

This is a film about loyalty, perseverance and companionship. Mark Wahlberg is exceptional. He's an actor who has mastered his craft. He is undoubtedly one of the best of his generation. It is a great film expertly directed by Simon Cellan Jones.

This looks nice and emotive as the true story was. I remember it very well since I saw this with my own eyes back in 2014. But, this DID NOT happen in the Dominican Republic, this story happened in Ecuador. Ok you don’t want (can’t) film this in Ecuador I understand, it’s complex. But at least tell the world where this actually happened and don’t lie so blatantly about it.

Yes it will. Oh random of me, look up Finding Gobi by Dion Leonard. It's another real life story of a dog that follows this ultrarunner in China. Of course the runner got the dog. Gobi went to live with Dion in Scotland.

Just watched it in theaters. I don’t normally do reviews, but this movie is different. I would rate it 100/10 and it’s not a typo. If you have a soft heart for dogs, then this movie is definitely for you. I enjoyed every second of this movie and it’s one of those movies then I will rewatch over and over again

Se han preguntado porque artistas extranjeros nunca vienen a Ecuador??? La misma razon: COSTOS ELEVADOS. SEGUNDA RAZON PROBLEMAS DE LOGISTICA Y SEGURIDAD. Ecuador no ofrece buenas condiciones de logistica, es mas complejo filmar en los mismos lugares por las dificultades del terreno; y lo mas importante LOS EXTREMOS NIVELES DE INSEGURIDAD que hacen de ecuador un pais inviable para que empresas extranjeras inviertan y hollywood es una empresa extranjera. NO PUEDES IR A FILMAR EN LA SELVA SIN TEMOR A QUE TE SALGAN UN GRUPO DE NARCOS Y TE SECUESTREN. Es imposible gente. Asi q dejen la tonteria, esto no se trata de una pelicula turistica para mostrar ecuador, sino la historia dura de un perrito callejero como los miles q sufren en todo el mundo. Mas bien que no salga ecuador porque es motivo de VERGUENZA la forma en la que el pais trata a los miles de perros callejeros como Arthur y la inconciencia de la gente con los animales. Aqui no hay NADA DE QUE ESTAR ORGULLOSOS, mas bien es Suecia quien tiene que estar orgulloso por tener personas concientes con la vida animal y no la gente de ecuador que no sabe tratar con respeto a los animales. ECUADOR MEJOR QUE SE ESCONDA de la verguenza, que si la gente de ecuador supiera como tratar a los animales Arthur no hubiera tenido que pasar por todo lo que paso. Mas bien ojala muestren mas de la gente de Suecia ellos si se lo merecen. Hay que usar el razocinio y las neuronas gente de ecuador y dejar la tonteria de lado.

Sweden is an important part too, but they need to change things to optimize for american viewers I guess.

What a heartwarming and exciting story, the movie was able to focus both on the race and the dog. The zipline part is crazy.

As a grown man now who has lived an amazing life in my 20s and suffered tradgically in my 30s even to the point of enduring 6 yrs of suicidal depression, although Jesus was my turning point he sent me the most beautiful Morkie dog named Chester. Doesnt look like any morkie out there but has the most perfect face you never get bored of no matter how many times or how long you see him. He got me through a lot of the dark days. This trailer more than caught my attention. I will have to watch it with my best friend chester 🐶

This film is a 4.5/5 for adrenalin surges and 5/5 for the heart.....the cinematography is so good that some of the views make you feel like you are actually there, heart racing and all. Great film. Thanks.👏

En esta historia, lo importante es el amor por las mascotas, el lugar de procedencia es lo de menos, lo q importa es que Arthur tuvo una segunda oportunidad, dejó un país en el que vivía en el abandono total y se fue a otro continente con una familia que le dio lo que en Ecuador no fuimos capaces de darle.

My best friend took me to the movies to see this, and I cried the entire time. Couldn’t wait to come home and cuddle with both of my dogs ❤ I wasn’t a dog person at all, hell I don’t even like people either 😅but my mom passed away In 2020 and I took care of her dogs as if they were mine, and now I love them so much I’d give my life for them ❤
