"Stain Wood" with Ammonia

Different woods react to Ammonia which darkens the wood and makes the wood rays just "POP" and look gorgeous!
It sets your piece apart from the ordinary.
Different woods have varied amounts of Tannins which react to ammonia.
First noticed in animal pens in England which reacted to ammonia in animal urine.
Stickley Craftsman Furniture used this process in the early 1900s to finish their furniture.
Process is somewhat caustic if you use concentrated ammonia. So, gas mask and PPE are recommended.
