Never ceases to amaze me some of the subject matter these games are based on. What's next? A card game based on the Russian Revolution? Followed by Prohibition Gangland? lol. Good review mate, thx.
Nice overview of this game..my husband and I have been considering this one for a while, and now it looks like it's on our gaming shopping list. It certainly appears to be an interesting hybrid of card drafting and territorial dominance imbued with enough strategy to work the brain without draining it. Thanks again for the timely review.
12:15 would have been better had it showed you returning the box to the shelf however I won't let that determine whether I play the game or not. j/k lol
@TechieZero Graphite. I use graphite sharpened with an electric pencil sharpener to the finest point possible. Very dangerous but very effective for artistic purposes. See website for examples.
I know that deck-building games are hot now (and I own and enjoy Thunderstone), but I don't think that mechanic fits a serious war game. Prove me wrong, designers.

Very timely review. Good job!
You probably want to use the red & blue markers for marking sieges on the board and the black ones for the tracks.
Good review Ryan. A Few Acres of Snow looks great, and is high on my wishlist.
That was a great overview. Thanks.

Be sure to change hands while holding the box at least 4 times before saying the words, "with that said". Perfect review formula.
thanks for this review i was umming and rring over this but i think I will plump and buy it from this review
@scottpizio Probably a good idea...although usually not one a situation I have a hard time tracking.
In the second edition this issue was fixed.
@JEKAZOL you got something against the theme? I see nothing wrong with the colonization of north-east america

I wish mine came with fortification pieces and not plastic money :(
"that said, let's take a look at what's inside the box"
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. :S
Nice review though :)
@josephknightcom What's your point?
@Medsas Neither me. let's colonise it together!
I like any board game that shows Nova Scotia.
;)
An awesome game based on Canadian history ( in a way)

bad toe?
WARNING - I have not played it, but according to BGG, this is a broken game. The 'Halifax Hammer' strategy is an auto-win.
Pre-history, rather.
@Jekazol Go away troll.
You have been proven wrong.
