I definitely think people are underestimating SMU’s backup, Kevin Jennings. Even as a true freshman last year, he was able to make good plays and complete drives, winning against Tulsa when both Stone and Mordecai were injured. This year, he’s performed well both as a relief QB and when Stone had a concussion against Rice. He probably won’t make as many explosive plays as Stone, but with the rest of SMU’s strong offense and Defense still intact, I don’t think it hampers them all that much.
