I live in southeast Florida where Jamie is from. I’ve ran into him a couple times since I’ve moved here. I haven’t spoken to him, just because I figure with him being so popular, he gets tired of people trying to talk his ear off, or ask for pics and stuff. I definitely make sure to watch everything he does though, because the man is just unrealistically consistent, and crazy technical. The other skateboarders coming out of this area are super talented as well. Idk what’s in the water here, but I’m all for it.

He's just really stocky you can tell he has a big bone structure, it's why he looks "fat" with clothing on.
Dystopia1980 no hes not "big boned" hes chunky, and they say hes fat because the average pro skater is like 6ft or something and skinny
Have you seen pics of him without a shirt? He's not "chunky" he's actually decently built. He just has a stocky frame that makes him look compact as well as like I said having a bigger bone structure than other ectomorph pros. If you look at pics of him next to other guys like Nick Tucker even though he's short his arms/forearms are clearly much thicker and it's not because they're fat. Wrist size is an indicator of how big your bone structure is and Foy has big wrists.
Also 11:50 you can clearly see his abs when he lifts up his shirt, if he were chunky it would be a gut. Also at 12:06

Wow! Makes huge and technical rail tricks look effortless. That first front feeble was seriously committed. In terms of general looks and general style he kinda reminds me a bit of Brad Hayes, from the mid 90s.
This guy really loves hand rails. Seriously, this guy is in a league of his own on skate tricks down handrails. Soapers have just left the chat room in humility and shame when they see a real skateboarder like Jamie Foy show them what a real grind trick down a hand rail is.

they are FOY sized rails, I'm sure Heath would have a crack at some of them but shit is just progressing so rapidly as usual, kids grow up watching gnarly parts and just think shit like 50 50 el toro etc is the norm, i grew up watching 411, video radio, sight unseen, misled youth, and The End things like that, as well as older stuff' they were the start of shit getting gnarly but now things are just getting crazy, but at least there is more focus on style and being clean, because you could have the biggest bag of tricks, but if you aint got nice style then you are pretty much screwed' id sooner watch a nice clean kick flip down something or even just a really nice clean ollie than some mob ass 360 flip or something like that' all the contenders for SOTY this year are really rad dudes and so many of them deserve it for so many different reasons weather it be there trick selection or their style or whatever, i really think Jamie has a good chance but whoever does get it will be deserving of it just as much as any of the other contenders
matt gillies yes, I grew up on all those same vids. Looking back of some of the tricks that made some of those videos, especially some of the sloppy landing stuff in the older plan B vids..... It would never fly today. My vote is FOY all day. I gotta wonder where the next level will be in 5 yrs. since they can't give it to Grant Taylor every year back to back (such clean buttery smooth lines)... I'm giving FOY my vote this year.

Where I live there is a totally skateable triple set with about 10 stairs on each set that has a triple kink rail and a triple kink Hubba on the side.. but I still don’t think this guy would think twice about skating it
