This might be a dumb question, but is there an actual belt behind the clutch/pulley system? The original owners manual says when “you engage the clutch, the power of the engine is transferred to the drive wheels or belt pulley.”
No. The purpose of the pulley is that you could run various machines with a belt. Check out a few of my latest shorts which show the belt pulleys being used on steam engines.
