I can relate so much. I’m the oldest though. My brother never gets in trouble for anything. I always do. It’s really complicated. I love my family but sometimes I worry if I’m even good enough for them. I always want the best for them and sometimes I think their life would have been better without me. You’re not alone 😢

my mom has said a lot of those things to me but i literally try to hard to make her happy and it feels like i'm not good enough for her no matter how hard i try she always finds something to yell at me for. i do her laundry, my laundry, all the dishes, i clean up the house cause she doesn't like it messy and i try to get my sisters to help but they never listen to me so i end up doing it by myself and she still isn't pleased. i watch after my sisters every single day because they're both younger then me and my mom works every day even on the weekends and i never have time to hang out with friends or anything. today she even told me that i don't respect her and i never do anything she asks me to do because i forgot to clean the bathrooms and i just feel like i don't do anything right i feel like my mom will never love me the way she loves my sister. in fact she even gets to go on a vacation to hawaii without me. i try so hard but my mom doesn't even listen to me. i'm 13 and i feel like i'm a mother to my sisters because my mom is never home and when she is she's always upset with me and i feel like a terrible person for not meeting her expectations.
My heart breaks for you. I understand completely. I turned 60 today and my adopted parents have been dead 21 years and in still mentally and emotionally torn. I hear them when I’m resting or working and feel guilty when I do a me thing. I’m a great mom though. Raised 3 children by myself and learned what not to do as a parent. I’m praying for you son. You are loved and more than worthy!! Tell a teacher, councilor or another parent. Get out and don’t look back. I’m with you I’m living a terrible life first it was amazing but ever since I broke something that was glass my dad knocked my tooth out and I knew my life was going to change I felt terrible I ran to my room locked the door and luckily did not swallow that tooth but I almost did I got out of my room and grabbed some water and a napkin to get rid of the blood and luckily I am still alive but ima say more so then now I reply differently like okay I understand u don’t like the way I reply to u but it’s the way I am and if u don’t like that then maybe I shouldn’t be here and u should just tell me then another time my dad yells at me and then he says DO YOU UNDERSTAND!? I can relate so much. I’m the oldest though. My brother never gets in trouble for anything. I always do. It’s really complicated. I love my family but sometimes I worry if I’m even good enough for them. I always want the best for them and sometimes I think their life would have been better without me. You’re not alone 😢
And the thing that hurts the most is that most of the time, you can’t bring yourself to hate them. They may hate you, but you still love them and it hurts so much.

my mom has said a lot of those things to me but i literally try to hard to make her happy and it feels like i'm not good enough for her no matter how hard i try she always finds something to yell at me for. i do her laundry, my laundry, all the dishes, i clean up the house cause she doesn't like it messy and i try to get my sisters to help but they never listen to me so i end up doing it by myself and she still isn't pleased. i watch after my sisters every single day because they're both younger then me and my mom works every day even on the weekends and i never have time to hang out with friends or anything. today she even told me that i don't respect her and i never do anything she asks me to do because i forgot to clean the bathrooms and i just feel like i don't do anything right i feel like my mom will never love me the way she loves my sister. in fact she even gets to go on a vacation to hawaii without me. i try so hard but my mom doesn't even listen to me. i'm 13 and i feel like i'm a mother to my sisters because my mom is never home and when she is she's always upset with me and i feel like a terrible person for not meeting her expectations.

My heart breaks for you. I understand completely. I turned 60 today and my adopted parents have been dead 21 years and in still mentally and emotionally torn. I hear them when I’m resting or working and feel guilty when I do a me thing. I’m a great mom though. Raised 3 children by myself and learned what not to do as a parent. I’m praying for you son. You are loved and more than worthy!! Tell a teacher, councilor or another parent. Get out and don’t look back. Go to church because Jesus is true love and He desires to shower you with love, more mercy and grace than you could ever imagine! A true Father!

I’m with you I’m living a terrible life first it was amazing but ever since I broke something that was glass my dad knocked my tooth out and I knew my life was going to change I felt terrible I ran to my room locked the door and luckily did not swallow that tooth but I almost did I got out of my room and grabbed some water and a napkin to get rid of the blood and luckily I am still alive but ima say more so then now I reply differently like okay I understand u don’t like the way I reply to u but it’s the way I am and if u don’t like that then maybe I shouldn’t be here and u should just tell me then another time my dad yells at me and then he says DO YOU UNDERSTAND!? I say yeah and I look away for a second (not rolling my eyes just the way that I show that I’m worried)then my dad yells at me saying don’t roll your eyes at me I always try and try and keep trying to improve but I’m just not the right person they were better off without me 🥲even my sister didn’t want me she wanted a brother not a sister but I turned out to be a girl and she complains about me so much that now she’s even ignoring me it’s like I’m not even real maybe I shouldn’t be and I can make that happen if they want it to happen:)

Set reasonable limits like 3 hours of screen time (depends on how the kid is)
Make sure to let them know if you’re gonna change the screen time limit or something
If they are failing talk to them
Keep your promise on “I’m not gonna get mad” even if it’s horrible
