Don't take away credit from the actual writers, what bp really do is choose from the lyrics that are still written by someone else for them..if they even got to choose, they don't change the words themselves because if they did them they would need to get credit for it
@@llmr10 They still give their input though. Jisoo stated they don't like being given a song and that's that. So whether people want to believe it or not, the girls do have input in what and how their songs will be by the end.

@@llmr10 Umm okay, I don't know what happened to my comment with the link to Jisoo's interview with Rolling Stone a few months ago, but look it up. She literally says that they aren't given a completed song to sing. They work with it from the start, adding this or that and exchanging feedback.
Again, they have input. Even if they don't, I still don't see what's wrong with that. A lot of artists today don't always write their own songs. Sometimes they sing a song written by another artist. What's the big deal? There isn't apparently but why so for BP??

Blackpink didn't write the songs in the album as you know they don't write their songs at all, the only song they wrote is YEAH YEAH YEAH
YYY was co-written by Rosé and Jisoo, Lovesick Girls was co-written by Jennie and Jisoo, and there are also other writing credits on other songs such as their solo songs as well. SG with DJ Snake for example, Lisa was credited for her lines and even DJ Snake openly stated (when asked about one of Lisa's lines) that "Lisa wrote it".
And just because they don't write their songs or are credited, doesn't mean they didn't have any input for it. Jisoo in a recent interview (maybe a couple of months ago now) even stated that they don't like it when they're just given a song and that's that. They actually take part in how it sounds, what it says, etc.

Not all singers have to be songwriters (though they have helped write songs before). Many famous singers sing songs written by other people. If all singers only sing songs that they write, songwriters will be out of a job.
