  • What's up everybody! Firstly, I wanna thank you guys for supporting the channel, we've reached 300+ subscribers!!!! So, I was browsing around at Tractor Supply and came across this bag of oyster shells and decided to grab it and amend my soil with it to see what kind of results I'd get.
I hope seeing how to properly apply it and utilize it in your flowerbeds helps! It's pretty cheap stuff so if you can get your hands on it do so!

Thank you so much for sharing.. love the kids with their garden tools it’s the best way to keep our kids interact with nature and gardening will definitely help them appreciate their surroundings. Happiness joy love and healthy living. Love your garden I used homemade cooked seashells liquid...it’s our delicacy here in 🇫🇯 Fiji Islands. The flesh is cooked with fresh coconut milk lemon herbs and chilies. The first batch of cooked cooked seashell liquid is kept in the bottle for cooling in the refrigerator for immediate or future use. There a two methods I use for my seashells...1/ sun dried in the sun for 2 weeks or more and stored in in a container for future crushing. 2/ Sun dried and buried in the sand or soil for crushing later.p. Both methods are reliable and economical since we live near the beach. Thank you very much.💖💖🙏😍

It did help the hydrangeas become less floppy but otherwise no significant changes. I believe because I did not use it long enough.

I just watched a video on it since I saved a few dozen oyster shells after eating them (yum!). Boil the shells for a few minutes to remove any bacteria. Then you can put them in a plastic zip top bag, cover with a towel in case the shell puncture the bag. Smash with a hammer to a fine powder or whatever consistency you want. Apply. Another option is using a sledgehammer for more quantity.

Hi! I know this comment of yours is from 2 years ago so I just wanted to let you know, if you still are wondering about it, that I've seen a video about it here on YT recently. All you have to do is bake it in the oven or place it in fire (yes, in a fire) and then when it's cold, you can just smash it with something hard, like a rock. I believe it breaks down more easily than not being baked prior. I however bought my oyster shell powder online and I loved sprinkling it over my plants. :)
