    I hope we keep Hafley in the building!!!! Continue to get impressed by the new stance on defense. MUCH MORE AGGRESSIVE than before. I love seeing the defense MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!

    I browsed for Packer podcasts and listened to five different episodes of five different ones.
    The ones I listened to were all good. Very good in fact.
    But here's the thing;
    to me the comparison is like 60s music. There was a lot of great music when I was young in the 60s; and then there were The Beatles.
    Pack A Day is The Beatles.

    My best friend is a Bear fan, he called Love a check down Charlie during his historic run last year. Then the Dallas game happened, he was like "I'm wrong he's not that". I think Love is trying to be a playmaker and also take what they give him, it's a tough balance. He's gonna get better at what not to do in certain situations. You know who the best check down QB ever was? Tom Brady. He figured it out, he made big plays but he knew when and why he was doing it. Love is still figuring it out. His talent gets him in trouble sometimes but it also can win games too. If Love settles in like last year, I'll take the check down Charlie part but when you want greatness you have to take chances at times. He'll figure it out and Lafleur needs to help him do it. GPG!!

    One of the things that I found interesting & satisfying to watch as it pertains to Coach Hafley is that he utilized some concepts that the Vikings use in order to generate pressure/the appearance of pressure because (I think) that’s what gave Houston problems for them earlier in the season. However, against someone like Kyler Murray, he used a contained rush so that Murray wouldn’t do to us what he did to the Chargers and the 49ers. He’s like Shang Tsung (for the nerds), shapeshifting into whatever an opponent has trouble with to get the job done.

    Hafley set a defense like the Vikings used successfully against Stroud and the Texans earlier this season.

    Next year, this O-Line should be left to right:
    Walker, Morgan, Jenkins, Rhyan, Tom
    I know Myers has been alright this year, but that top end potential really excites me. I hope they draft another 2 O-Line, 1 tackle, and 1 guard/flex. We have 3 starters potentially hitting FA after next year. Its gonna be interesting to see who they pay.

  • @jeremyschulthess63

    Perhaps during the bye week they could look at moving Morgan to guard and Jenkins to center and putting Meyers on the bench.

    Hope Packers bring in some former pass rushers to impart some wisdom and suggestions for the defensive ends. Not sure it's coaching, but they haven't finished getting off the block and getting the sack. I understand mush rush, but in moments when you have a chance for a true rush without a blitz it's not getting done. There is time to fix it, but need to be before mid-season.

      @wsimmons920 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Idk about that. Yes I'm sure there will be some teams intrested in the future, but Haf was the HC at Boston College and seemed to really loose his love for the game. All the extra responsibilities not related to the on field product were eating at him. Dude just wants to watch film and coach defense. Work with his players on the field with technique and teach them. Not have some owner breathing down his neck and try to sort out the mess from a bunch of stupid decisions made by others. Some people are just built to be coordinators and I get the feeling from him that Haf is happiest as a DC and not a HC. Hope I'm right and we can keep him and Lafleur for a long time

    This Green Bay Packers defense is more aggressive. This is more of a mindset than anything else. Yes, Jeff Hafley does blitz a bit more often than Joe Barry did, but the attitude itself is vastly different as well. Jeff Hafley has also done a better job of maximizing the talents of his players than Joe Barry did. This is particularly true of the secondary. Jeff Hafley has a background as a defensive backs coach so this should not be too surprising. Last season, as part of his more passive approach, the Green Bay Packers often gave a lot of cushion to opposing receivers, even on 3rd and long situations. He had cornerbacks like Jaire Alexander, Carrington Valentine, and when healthy, Eric Stokes, who preferred to be more physical with receivers off the snap of the ball and played their best when allowed to do so. Joe Barry didn’t tailor his approach to match the talents of his players. Instead, the players often had to change to fit the system. The results were less than ideal. Through 7 games, Jeff Hafley has done a better job than Joe Barry did at maximizing his players’ talents. Whether it’s using Edgerrin Cooper to blitz, having Xavier McKinney play deep centerfield or having his cornerbacks be more physical off the snap of the ball, Jeff Hafley is finding more ways to maximize his talent. 1 thing Joe Barry often struggled with was making in-game adjustments. Jeff Hafley has done a better job of it thus far. For example, when the Green Bay Packers struggled to get pressure on the quarterback with just 4 defensive linemen, Jeff Hafley changed his approach mid-game and added more blitzes. It’s refreshing to have a defensive coordinator like Jeff Hafley. The players’ energy and greater aggressiveness playing for Jeff Hafley are palpable. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛
