You two are such a beautiful couple!!! So in tune with each other. Your relaxed energy transfers through to your audience, so it’s always a joy to watch 😊🤎✨
Byron Bay is definitely not the old village I remember. The only international tourists were American or Hawaiian surfers who thumbed a lift down from Ballina. Used to stumble out of the Piggery broke and feeling for the door after catching some of the best local and national live pub bands. Sleeping in the back of my old Kingswood wagon in the carpark at Tallows back beach after downing a bottle of Penfolds Tawny Port. Then waking up on sunrise with the sun smashing my eyes and head and a mouth drier than the bottom of a cocky's cage. After skulling water from the bottle kept in the back of the wagan for the radiator, grab the board and stumble down the track onto the beach. Once your feet touch the sand the sore eyes disappear then the second your board hits the water and you feel it on you the new day begins. Unless the water is too warm, you wouldn't believe how much energy it drains just sitting on your board when it is cooler out of the water.
Jesus mate, stop it, your bringing a tear to my eye. The Bay was so good back then. And party central, chilled town, and great people. Wish I could turn back time mate.
You two give me hope for the world. Never let her go Jaun. Hope you enjoy your Aussie adventure as much as we love having you here. Take care and safe travels. Love from N.S.W 🦘🐨😎
I'm almost 80 and grew up at the beaches and won medal for long boarding at 16 and later engagement at Bryon...A full lifetime ago but finally moved back a few beaches north after my husband died..It's definitely Gods country and feel blessed ea day I look out and see blue sky and ocean so blue though even when sky is black and ocean angry it's also a sight to behold...If you have time go inland for few minutes to Bangalow and enjoy lunch and view fm mountain down to Byron Bay..We certainly have a beautiful and different country and I've travelled through Europe up to Nordcapp Norway through Scotland Ireland and they are very beautiful but love to be home here on the beach...
@@helenredmond2742 now thats living i could only dream of waking up to the ocean everyday australia is so magical ive always wanted to visit they have some of the best animals on earth everything about australia is amazing ❤❤❤❤
Just found your channel the other day, what a pleasure it is seeing you both enjoy this beautiful country we live in here. The way you both observe and appreciate all the little things that makes this so special reminded me to do the same too like I’m seeing it all for the first time like you both are. Thank you for sharing your journey. Like someone else said, you’re welcome to move here, couples so full of joy and love like you two are a very special to have around! Enjoy the rest your journey! Much love!
This vlog made me a little homesick 😢 Byron is 30 mins from my Nannas and wow is it a spectacular place. Once I move back home, I’m so excited to go back
The birds are Ibis. Like a lot of things in Australia, we gave them a nickname. They're 'Bin Chickens' because the use their ugly long beeks to open up rubbish bin lids to scavenge for food scraps!
Hahaha yesss this is exactly the answer we needed.. it all makes sense now 😂 we always see them rummaging through trash. Love them, but they definitely aren't the prettiest birds in Australia..
This bird is an Australian native ibis but if you check out some Egyptian artwork, you'll see their relatives - the Egyptian ibis. Ancient Egyptians revered them. The god Thoth is depicted with the head of an ibis. I'm pretty sure the ancient Egyptians didn't call them bin chickens 😅
@@juanmarcelandrhylan Twenty five years ago you never saw them anywhere. They are wetland birds, but their habitat has been taken over, so they found their way to the cities and are survivors. They are aggresive with each other, but not people. They make a mess, but they are poor things. In the distant past, farmers would shoot them, believing they were eating their crops, but they weren't. Instead, they were eating all the pests and spiders, etc, and helping to prevent pests on crops. So farmers are mostly responsible for these poor things having nowhere to go. I get these in my yard and also big spoonbills at times. Pigs don't roll around "in their own filth" naturally. Just like hippopotamuses, they require a coating of mud to prevent sunburn and infestation.
After two months of fieldwork for my PhD in rural Indonesia, your videos are the best way to relax and re-energize! Thank you both! Hope you have a lovely time in Australia. I may be wrong, but I think the birds look like the Australian White Ibis
man brotha seeing how happy you 2 truly are is inspiring i can only dream of bring this happy one day im from the usa and have alwaysss wanted to visit australia what a life that must be i could only dream of waking up to something like that every day ❤❤❤❤
Love Byron Bay and the hinterland so lush so warm and can be so wet ........... The Northern Rivers region of NSW is pretty amazing country . Byron is certainly a great place to hang out thank you for stirring my memories , just about time to get back there . Your video about Melbourne smashed it as well , so beautifully done . Need to get my hands on some more of the " jam " donuts !
Rhylan, you are so beautiful with the dress ,looking super perfect in the green farm location. The piggies were so cute ! Australia has been so wonderful to see ! Love you guys 💕
I've been there with mates for 2 weeks when we finish high school in 92. Spent NYE there and partied and relaxed. Back then it wasnt like it is today with so many tourists.
Next time I'm visiting Australia, I'll definitely have to check out Byron Bay. It was lovely to see Juan being 'extra' smitten by Rhylan in this video, so sweet! :) And Rhylan's little wave at 6:44 made me chuckle. 😄
Glad you are enjoying the east coast of Australia. I love Byron too, the farm is nice, the cafe and coffee is great there. The memories will last forever for you both.
Loving your spirit and travel stories! You would love Emerald Beach, between Woolgoolga and Coffs Harbour. Gorgeous seaside village. Beautiful beaches and amazing walk over Look At Me Now headland with kangaroos and views up and down the coast. Enjoy your travels!
I don’t mean this as a hate comment, but I hope your relationship is as healthy as it seems online! You seem to like each others company and respect each other when you’re talking. I just know behind the scenes it’s not always as beautiful. My partner and I just talked about moving to Queensland in 4 or 5 years after we save up. You make this country look so beautiful!
Yuraygir National park is amazing and is near Byron Bay . Byron Bay hinterland is stunning with rainforest to explore . Bellingen River National Park is stunning . You can visit Nimbin , where the hippies are . Enjoy !!
The Australian Ibis, aka the White Ibis, has also migrated to urban areas where human scraps provide easy pickings from garbage bins. Hence their nickname of Bin Chicken,
I hope you had the opportunity to visit other places in Byron's general area. I live nearby and there is so much on offer. There is a great art gallery about 40 minutes north of Byron.
Hi Juan and Rhylan! I just watched this video as I’m planning a holiday in Byron Bay. I’m wondering if you can tell me which airbnb you stayed in? I’m completely overwhelmed trying to figure out where to stay! 😀
Love Byron and the Farm. No doubt you know by now the birds are Ibis, known colloquially as ‘bin chickens. You see to be having a wonderful holiday but really need a hat in our hot sun.
The Ibis are birds we Australians call Bin Chickens, there is even a song about them here on YT "The Ibis Song! (A Song About Birds)" . It sums up what we feel about them.
I'm Western Australian and until I recently started watching these foreigner travel videos, like yours, did I know what a bin chicken was either haha. We have many types of Ibis in Western Australia but, they don't go in the bins.
Only wish the best for you guys. Glad you're loving straya would love to see you guys snorkel and do ocean activities to become a full Australian. (Just be friendly with some of the little sharks you might see).
That said, Byron Bay isn't even the most easterly point in NSW! It's the Australian mainland most easterly point. Lord Howe Island (NSW) norfolk Island (Australian territory) and Macquarie Island are further East and still technically Australia.

Trust me, they know they're beautiful. That's why 90% of this video about Byron Bay only shows them walking around smiling and looking pretty.
Every australia vlog just keeps getting more beautiful..byron bay just looked magical!🥺💖
It was 50 years ago. Now full of clowns.

Yes it’s become over crowded and Touristy not like the old days.
I miss that Byron Bay so much its so sad I wish it hadn't become so touristy and marketed
Wonderful advertisement for Byron Bay and Australia!
