This video was very informative. I really enjoyed seeing your boys help put that bike rack together just like daddy! Thank you for sharing. Did you use the hitch pin that came with it with the cottle? (not sure what its called, clip?) I want to have a lock on the hitch pin, just for a little more security, but had a hard time finding one in my stores in our small town. I couldn't find one that was smaller than 1/2 inch. Do you feel safe riding without that extra safety lock when away from your bike rack? I just got my Kuat rack yesterday and I'm already thinking about someone stealing it!

The first time or two I just used the stock hitch pin it came with. Eventually got a locking one and felt much more secure leaving it alone because as you know that's an expensive rack! I'm using a TowWorks 79631 locking pin, it is a 5/8" pin as we have the larger Class 3 hitch w/ a 2" receiver.

Thank you for sharing this video. Quick question - does the rack with bikes effect the back up camera or the sensors in the rear of the car?

With NO bikes on the rack and it folded up it is completely normal. However when loaded with bikes it becomes difficult to see through the backup camera, as expected, and the blind spot monitor (BSM) thinks there's always something there. I usually end up turning BSM OFF so we don't have to hear the beep every time I signal.

Thank you for posting. Does the rack loaded with bikes effect the backup camera, rear traffic sensors, etc...?

    That’s a ton of bikes!

That is a nice bike rack. Looks solid. I like those that clamp down onto the tire more than the frame. Mine is OK, but my bike kinda moves around. My bike rack moves around while driving, too. I think yours is the same brand my neighbor has. Bikes don't budge on it. Can you adjust it for larger/smaller wheel bases?

Yeah it's super solid. The wheel trays tilt and adjust to accommodate all different sized bikes. It cost a bit more but the features are totally worth it!

@@M.E.Cyclist Since I don't generally travel far with my bike rack, I haven't been concerned with getting a new rack. The one I have works fine, I just don't really like that it uses hooks on the frame. I have frame protection, which is good. I like yours better, though.

Seriously? I thought this would be a video to help folks assemble the Küat Transfer V2 bike rack? At what -- triple speed? I don't get it. Assembly IS in fact relatively easy except for a few steps that I would have appreciated seen covered in real time.

It really helped me. I'm 72 and have seen plenty of videos to show how to assemble it but didn't show how to actually put my bicycle on the rack, and not only one, but three!! I have some grandkids I want to take riding. I guess each of us look for certain things. A small little mom and pop business where I bought the Kuat transfer V2, put it all together for me. I can't imagine having to put it together!
