Hi Jente, I hope you're OK xx ❣️❣️ I've watched this video podcast a couple of times and don't know why I've not commented before. Thankyou so much for sharing this video podcast on doing a "Fractal Spin " especially from the way you set your fibres out. This made it so easy to use small amounts of fibres instead of breaking a Braid down.🐑 Thanks again for sharing this video podcast. I love your finished Yarn it looks amazing. Happy Spinning Fibre Friend 🎡🐑🥰 Take care and stay safe Lots of love and Big Hugs Jen xxxx ❤️❤️🫂🫂🐕
I actually never worked with a braid before, or even commercial roving for that matter, so I would like to try that as well one day. We're almost in the new year now in Europe! Happy new year 😁
Hello, I'm a new subscriber from the Tennessee mountains in the US. I can not remember for sure how I came to find your channel but most likely I was binge watching fiber related channels and youtube recommended yours. I'm very glad that it did. I love your humor and down to earth attitude. I laughed too hard at the end of this video when you said the wool was still full of shyt. lol I can't wait to see what else you have to share with us. 🧶🧶🧶
Chaos goblins unite! Always here for fibre madness. I'm one of those newbies that got here via your cycling sweater video after seeing it shared in a fibre group on facebook
I haven't actually seen the cycling sweater video and I think this is the first of yours i've seen! Probably because I've been looking at spinning websites outside of youtube. I inherited my late aunt's spinning wheel and once I figure out how to use it I'm excited to try it out :)
Thank you 🥰 Oh a heirloom spinningwheel, that is so Precious! I recommend Jillian Eve's channel if you want some clear tutorials on how to start with your wheel, it's how I started!
"not atomic-bomb explosion, but more like you-left-your-bottle-of-champagne-too-long-in-the-freezer explosion" - this is why you deserve all these new subscribers, you're very funny! And you make really interesting and beautiful projects! I love fractal spinning, I'm hoping to try it out for my next spin. I have three colors of the same wool ready to go, just have to figure out if I want to buy a fourth bobbin or if I'll settle for a two-ply fractal (or do some very creative shenanigans and transfer one ply from the bobbin to a chopstick or something for plying?). As far as measuring everything: I split the 100 grams of Texelaar from my last spin into almost perfect halves, and still ended up with one bobbin running out quite a way before the other, so measuring isn't everything either! (Although that might have just been me getting better at spinning and therefore the second bobbin having more even and thinner yarn, so it made more yarn out of the same amount of floof...)
My first wheel, Bernadette, only has two bobbins, so when I only had her I used a toiletpaperroll to wind one of the bobbins on 😅 Thank you for your compliment, it made me very happy 😁
The yarn turned out soooo pretty!!! Whatever you make with it will be gorgeous and I can't wait to see. I love the chaos goblin energy of your videos. It's nice to get a feel for your personality that you just can't get with more organized video styles. Plus the process is rather relatable. And I can use the chaos to kickstart my own brain when it's turned on "no thoughts, head empty" mode.
How beautiful and congratulations on your new subscribers🎉❤ it’s so well deserved, you are such an inspiration and so knowledgeable. Watching your videos inspired me so much to start spinning again and get my spinning wheel. I would love to see more of how you spin and what you make from your spinning. It’s so beautiful and so talented.
I came here a few weeks ago while binging spinning videos, actually. Also yes the voice recorded with the oversensitive mic early on was kinda painful but the rest was MUCH better. I love the fractal spin, it's nice to see how even seemingly subtle shade differences can have a lot of character when contrasted in that way.
@@MijnWolden it's great because now youtube recommends me more spinning videos! It's less great because now it assumes that because I like yarn I must therefore be a knitter lol
TH-cam knows I'm a knitter, so it recommends these hours long knitting podcasts, which is not really my genre. Makes me wonder why most knitting content is either a tutorial or just a face explaining what they made...
I'm not here from the bicycle sweater, I just like yarn! This turned out amazing, and I'm kind of glad you ended up with a little bit of the 2-ply yarn to really show how the colors are shifting. Chaos Goblins represent!
You could always take the walnut brown from the beginning and add it to the end instead. Just rearranging the color sequence by moving it one off from the previous sequence
The mic was a nice touch, though I think your audio before was fine. I completely know what you mean with the imposter syndrome… The yarn is BEAUTIFUL! I’m here for the chaos goblin energy!
A delightful video as always. You are very charming and I enjoy your mischievous nature. You had some music towards the end that was very nautical and I was wondering what it was? Also, do you ever sell your yarn?
I name my wheels too. My first wheel, 1960's Louet S10 is Jezebel, my 1970's 'Sleeping Beauty-style' Ashford is Elizabeth, and my Ashford Kiwi is Moana. Cheers-Laura
From one chaos goblin to another, spinning just to spin is pretty much my default. Somehow the gauge seems to work out if I don’t overthink it and just let ‘er rip.
I'm glad you spin just to spin. I do too, not all the time, but especially when i need a break from a big project. thank you
Indeed, sometimes we just have to spin to spin 😁

Thank you, I finally understand fractal spinning. Your explanation was perfect.
Oh thank you 🥰
You've made beautiful yarn ♥ Chaos goblins should always be freed !
Thank you 🥰
It's a real good microphone! Upgrades people, upgrades!
Thank you! 😁
I found this video because I love the art of creating, and spinning is so hypnotic, I love videos like this and your personality is 🔥🔥🔥😂😂😂
Spinning is hypnotic and addictive indeed! 😁
YaaaY for the Kaios Gobblin 😉
Will be nice to see what you make with those yarns.
Chaos all the way 😎

Love love love how these colors turned out!!!!!! The giant afghan my friend made me is very similar colors!
Oh that must be a beautiful afghan!
I know it makes TH-cam safer, but I wish I could post a picture here for you to see!

It sure is.
This is your first video that I've seen, so I didn't find you via the bicycle sweater video, the algorithm just knows I like handcrafting

No thoughts, Brain empty sounds amazing. My brain is more like ALL THE THOUGHTS AT THE SAME TIME kind of chaos 😂
Thank you for your sweet comment 🥰
@@MijnWolden oh it can be quite enjoyable!! But it's not helpful at all when I need to get things done.
As a chaos goblin myself, am pretty sure the yarn will be fine. The universe is built of fractals, you can’t avoid them and they will prevail.
That's beautiful. Thank you
That scratched an itch! 🤤
Hopefully not An itch in your ear, with my audio mishaps 🤭
@@MijnWolden nobody minds!
Why is this music inspiring me as i work along to the video😂😂 really nice yarn!!
Because it's good music and you have good taste ;)
I tend toward chaos as well - I'm not very technical. Loved your finished product!
Why be technical and correct if you can stumble upon new techniques by accident, right? 😁
Wonderful ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Thank you ☺️
