Ella isn't in Villain because she's currently on hiatus for health reasons. We're all hoping for a speedy recovery for her so she can return healthy in their next comeback. Pixy is one of my absolute favorite rookie girl groups right now, along with Purple Kiss. PK has done a variety of concepts, but they also tend to do a lot on the darker side, so I think you might like them. They're Mamamoo's little sister group at RBW.
I love Pixy! 🧡 They are sitting comfortably at the top next to Dreamcatcher as my favourites. And Pixy currently has my favourite choreos and rap line.

Slowly but surely... their latest album is soo good, Dejavu, Swan Song easily is a title worthy track Pixy just need to stick to their concept and keep releasing quality music... I hope for succeed for them, just like it did with DC
The mysterious girl in villain is Rinji, Pixy's new member. Ella and Satbyeol have unfortunately left the group and the four girls have been continuing on their world tour together until Rinji was introduced during one of their shows where she performed with them. Absolutely stoked for the substantial increase in fans and recognition that they are getting with this comeback (still under appreciated but better than last year)! Also cannot wait for Otakon 2022 at the end of the month where they will make their North American debut in Washington DC! 🤩 Having their premier during the height of the pandemic was super risky, but they are navigating their unique vision with excellence!
Pixy have fire choreo. Their debut wasn't my favorite but since then it grew on me and they really have grown in my heart!!! Freaking Bewitched is the best kpop song in English I've heard yet! And that choreo omg!!! I've been playing Villian nonstop!!! Purple Kiss are kind of like that dark and a bunch of whisper Billie Eilish vibes and cool choreo. Not sure if you seen them yet but if not definitely check them!
Thank you for checking them out! They have an ongoing storyline that plays out through animated shorts and their MVs. Nearly all their songs are about the witch in their lore even when it seems like the lyrics may be talking about something else. Their choreo tends to focus more on imagery and storytelling so they really excel when they’re in a group. This is Allart’s first girl group and they are extremely small, but so far they’ve shown that they can make amazing things with very little. They’re extremely underrated, but I’m hoping for a bright future for them!

Special Clip is a general catch all for a video that is not normally promoted; these songs can be anything from B-sides, Covers, compilations and alternate versions. Bewitched is a special case in that the KR version was promoted as a second Title Track but the EN version was used for the MV.
Thank you for checking out PIXY! :) The location in the Wings MV is actually an abandoned location (an old school I believe), so it's likely very cheap if not entirely free to film there, hence being used by a lot of groups that may not have a huge budget. The voice at the end of Addicted is their main producer's voice, his voice is often layered in many of their tracks. All of PIXY's choreography is by Men Of The Future (MOTF)! Villain is the title of their 3rd mini-album released in June 2022, recently and the title of their album is Reborn. 5 members promote it because the other member Ella who is the leader, lead vocal, the blond with short hair is missing because of health issue! So their past life was fairies who became dark, now they're reborn as villain killers and robbers who enjoy to be villain. They released so many songs. Their agency improve their budget specially in their mv that is so good now! And their agency increase their budget with improvement in each comeback in the mv and in one year! Fast improvement and it's a little agency which has just Pixy as a girlgroup, that's why they put so much effort to increase their budget, to make Pixy succeed and Pixy will have their 1rst concert withouty Ella in July 2022 in USA in a convention but that's great in 2 years! Now i'm just waiting for Ella's return and Ella to be a good health condition to return and i'm waiting them for having sucess and more concert after and if they can come to France, i will go to see them in their concert!
Check tbeir choreo too, specially wing's intro dance that is a contemporary dance mix with dark choreo and Wings is so a hard choreo! Their story is in Wings (6 fairies are looking for their lost wings but a witch corrupted a fairy Dajeong the red hair in wings), in Let me know, 5 members wears Dia because Dajeong corrupted the other fairies to wear and throw Dia in a cliff when Dia is sleeping, that's why they wear Dia in their shoes in Let me know and then they become more dark and corrupted in Addicted and Bewitched

Their debut song Wing (a single) released in February 2021 then 1rst comeback with Let me know (1rst mini-album) in May 2021, they are so busy and i saw their evolution specially in mv, then 2nd comeback with Addicted, their agency put more budget in their mv and i was surprised by the quality of Addicted's mv

Pixy and Dreamcatcher supremacy. Only other group I can think of that does dark concept is Purple Kiss and it's a little more playful dark but still very cool. Oh and Pink Fantasy goes really hard as well.
Fun deep dive into a truly underrated group! I love PIXY! They’re just so talented. Def check out LOONA! Purple Kiss is definitely a group up your alley. They balance darkness & light really well but skew more dark. Red Velvet, especially their Velvet side. I think solo artists you should definitely do Sunmi. She has a retro aesthetic. Her songs sound bright sometimes, but always pretty much have some darkness or creepy factor. Her videos are truly iconic. Chung Ha too, who does a wider range of bright vs dark, but “Killing Me,” “Bicycle,” “Dream of You,” & “Stay Tonight” are all amazing. “Snapping” too! Very full of sass that one. Also, there’s under appreciated KARD, the only current co-ed group! They have a very different sound too. If you like more bands that aren’t specifically idol-formula, Rolling Quartz play their own instruments & write (or contribute) to their songs. More of a metal sound. They do Dreamcatcher’s “Good Night” as a cover & lots of other Rock covers of Kpop & Western music. “Azalea” & “Holler” are faves of their main releases. “Azalea” is exquisite.

There are lots of bands/groups in the West made up of members that grew up and or lived together and in some cases are literal family so I don't know why you feel that was never a thing we got in the West. Personally, I got plenty of it. Several of the bands I grew up with were mostly kids that grew up together and or family, put together a band and eventually made it. Some are people who found each other, some put out wanted ads and chose, say their bass player or singer, for example. Some are still doing their thing, some formed before my time and are still around 40+ years later. I'd argue you're more likely to have a closer more organic intimate relationship/connection with friends and or family you grew up with, formed a group/band with, struggled with for years than individuals selected and trained by companies that are eventually put into a group who will go on to train together with entire teams of experts in their respective fields at facilities/studios intended for such things. Essentially these k-pop groups are products companies have invested in and these companies could, if or when contract allows, break a group apart, or disband if the group is not meeting the companies expectations (usually financially) and even recycle the individuals and put them in other groups, again if and when contracts allow and or the artist chooses to. That said, some, albeit a few, k-pop groups go on to make it past their 7 year contracts, so I've read. Some groups debut and are never heard of again, and some are named something silly like MINX and are disbanded, given a new look and a couple new members and re-debut as Dreamcatcher to become my favorite K-pop group so you never know. Here's to Dreamcatcher's longevity! 🍻 BTW, thanks for the PIXY reaction. I'm hoping they stick around too, as they are and with Ella.
